You can now pre-order Resident Evil Requiem, set to release on February 27, 2026. Plus, a special presentation showing off the game will be broadcast nearer the release date.
Next year marks the 30th anniversary of the Resident Evil series, and the next installment, Resident Evil Requiem, is set to be a major release. Players will experience a terrifying fight for survival in the ruined city of Raccoon City as Grace Ashcroft, the daughter of a character from a previous game. While the full story is still a secret, recent leaks suggest it will be an exciting adventure for both longtime fans and newcomers. Pre-orders began earlier this month with a release date of October 29th, announced alongside a special video. That video has now been released, and it reveals another exciting event: a new Resident Evil Showcase.
Resident Evil Showcase Featuring New Footage of Requiem Airing in Early 2026
This 10-minute video, featuring commentary from Maggie Robertson (who plays Lady Dimitrescu), takes a look back at the history of the Resident Evil series. It covers everything from the very first game in 1996 to the newest installment, Resident Evil Village, and explains how it all ties together with the ‘Requiem’ storyline.
Although we didn’t get a new trailer today, more gameplay footage is on the way! A Resident Evil Showcase is planned for early 2026, likely in January, since the next release is scheduled for February. We can expect to see more gameplay during the showcase, and there’s a possibility we’ll finally get a look at the rumored Resident Evil 0 remake.
The biggest news is that you can now pre-order Resident Evil Requiem! It’s available for $69.99 on Nintendo Switch 2, PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. A Deluxe Edition is also offered for $79.99 and comes with these extra features:
- Five costumes, including one of Grace as Lady Dimitrescu
- Four weapon skins
- Two screen filters
- Two charms
- One Audio Pack (Raccoon City Classic)
- One File (Letters from 1998)
The physical Deluxe Edition will include a special Steelbook case and a limited-edition lenticular card. A Resident Evil-themed Nintendo Switch 2 Pro Controller will be available when the console launches, and a Grace Ashcroft Amiibo is planned for release in Summer 2026. Additionally, Grace Ashcroft will be added as a playable skin in Fortnite, though a specific release date hasn’t been announced.
