  • The game will reportedly reach the Switch on November 7.

As a longtime fan of the chaotic world of Goat Simulator, this news has me jumping with excitement! The prospect of taking my favorite cloven-hoofed creature on another wild adventure on my trusty Nintendo Switch is simply too enticing to ignore.

It appears that there could potentially be a version of the popular game, “Goat Simulator 3,” for the Nintendo Switch. This information comes from a recent listing by a retailer which suggests that the chaotic open-world game might be available on Nintendo’s versatile console as early as November 2024.

Created by Coffee Stain Studios from Sweden, the eagerly anticipated “Goat Simulator 3” had a humorous unveiling in June 2022 and was launched on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PC, and mobile devices approximately five months later. Consistent with its zany concept, the game’s title itself is a jest, as it suggests the presence of “Goat Simulator 2”, which, contrary to expectation, does not actually exist.

Amazon Japan Leaks Goat Simulator 3 Switch Port

A webpage on Amazon Japan for the Nintendo Switch version of Goat Simulator 3 was launched in early August 2024. This discovery was made by Nintendo Everything. The page indicates that Coffee Stain’s humorous action-adventure game is set to launch on November 7 for the Nintendo Switch. Initially, both physical and digital versions of the game were listed, but the page has since been removed. According to the same source, Plaion (previously known as Koch Media, a subsidiary of Embracer Group) will be publishing the supposed Switch port.

If the reported listing is accurate, it means that Goat Simulator 3 could be coming to the Nintendo Switch in less than ten days from now, which is just before the game’s second anniversary. You might recall that it took almost five years for the original Goat Simulator to be ported to the Switch, with its release on Nintendo’s console happening in January 2019. Despite the game’s slapstick gameplay becoming a meme, Goat Simulator was generally panned by critics. However, its sequel received much more positive reviews, with many praising Goat Simulator 3 for its expansive open world, absurd quests, extensive customization options, and engaging multiplayer features, among other strengths.

The listing for Goat Simulator 3 on Amazon Japan hints that the Nintendo Switch edition will include the Digital Downgrade DLC. This extra feature was initially launched together with the game itself, offering players additional content such as unique goat costumes and a digital copy of the game’s soundtrack for an additional $10. The standard version of Goat Simulator 3 is priced at $29.99, which could be the expected price for its Nintendo Switch counterpart. Meanwhile, Nintendo gamers have the opportunity to purchase the original game’s Switch version at a reduced price of $5.99 (80% off) until August 12th.

This premature listing is not the first Goat Simulator leak to emerge online in recent days. Back in late July, a Taiwanese regulator published a rating for Goat Simulator Remastered, suggesting that a modernized version of the 2014 game is on its way to the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
