As a dedicated fan of the Terminator franchise since my very first encounter with the iconic T-800, I can’t help but feel a mix of emotions upon hearing about the delay in the release of Terminator: Survivors. On one hand, I understand that creating an immersive and engaging game experience requires time and dedication, and I appreciate Nacon’s commitment to delivering a quality product.
Today on X’s latest update, Nacon has revealed they are pushing back the launch of Terminator: Survivors from its initial October 2024 release date to 2025 instead.
Nacon emphasized the importance of having “a bit more time” to bring their vision for the game to life. They are committed to providing a game that matches your expectations.
Nacon did not break down the exact cause for delay, nor offer a more concrete release window.
Nevertheless, the developers expressed appreciation for the fervor shown by fans, and acknowledged the community’s understanding and backing. Despite fan disappointment over the postponement of Terminator: Survivors, they endorsed the choice to wait for a seamless debut.

In February 2024, during the Nacon Connect event, Nacon initially unveiled Terminator: Survivors. Several weeks after that, further information about the game was disclosed during a question-and-answer session hosted by Nacon.
Terminator: Survivors is a survival-themed open-world game that incorporates first-person shooting, developed using the advanced Unreal Engine 5. This game offers both cooperative multiplayer and offline single-player modes for players to enjoy.
On the Steam website’s description, it is stated that players will encounter both familiar characters from the series and new ones created for this game. The narrative, which deals with Judgment Day, will be a fresh, uncharted storyline.
In an earlier announcement, it was disclosed that Terminator: Survivors would debut on PC on October 24, 2024. Console versions were slated for release at a later date. Just last June, Nacon released a development video, shedding light on the game’s roots in James Cameron’s initial two films.
