As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of virtual adventures under my belt, I must say that the latest quest in Fields of Mistria has piqued my interest. The Request for Art Supplies quest seems like a straightforward yet intriguing endeavor, especially since it involves unearthing Clay to aid in the creation of a legendary sword.

By mid-Spring, players of Fields of Mistria should find the opportunity to embark on the “Art Supplies Request” side quest at the town’s Notice Board close to the General Store. Nora, a resident in town, initiates this quest. She is in need of some clay for her friend Dell, who is working diligently on an art project. It appears that the completed artwork will be used by Dell to fashion a legendary sword.

To claim the 50 Tesserae prize from Nora, you’ll first have to locate some Clay in Mistria. Follow along for its hiding spot. (Although 50 Tesserae might seem insignificant, obtaining a single piece of Clay should not consume too much time).

To locate Clay, look for small, bumped circles on the ground. You can excavate these mounds using a pickaxe or shovel. Inside these mounds, you might find various items, with Clay being one of them.

These spots are all over Mistria, but there’s one place that has the best chance of having Clay.

To leave the town’s heart, head towards the western direction. You’ll eventually reach a spot known as The Narrows. Keep going northwest, which is to your left when you see the Museum or Mines. Cross the broken stone archway over the river to continue your journey.

As a hardcore gamer, I always press forward westward to penetrate the enigmatic Western Ruins. Deep in this region’s south lies an intriguing archaeological dig site, nestled close to a tent. This area is my go-to spot for unearthing precious Clay, as daily “dig spots” are guaranteed here.

It appears that other players may have located Clay by visiting a submerged area in the water, or by exploring the Mines.
