In many isekai anime, it’s not unexpected to find myself surrounded by an array of captivating women, each trying to win my heart. These harems are often built around fan service, and although multiple potential romantic interests can be engaging, the storyline frequently gets overwhelmed by excessive affection and self-centered attention.
In the current anime scene, terms like “isekai” and “harem” are often used interchangeably. However, there are outstanding isekai anime that break away from this typical mold. With complex narratives and unique environments, these series provide a captivating isekai journey without getting lost in the harem-related distractions that the genre is commonly associated with.

Essentially, “Suicide Squad Isekai” places well-known characters like Harley Quinn, King Shark, and Deadshot from DC Comics in a traditional isekai fantasy setting – a surprising blend of stories that fans didn’t anticipate. The storyline primarily focuses on action, as romantic elements such as harem themes are secondary or even absent in this adaptation inspired by the Suicide Squad from DC Comics.
12 Dahlia in Bloom: Crafting a Fresh Start with Magical Tools

Although the anime version of the original light novel has experienced some shifts in mood and a title modification (now titled “Dahlia in Bloom”), it remains a valuable contribution to the vast isekai genre.

From the otome game’s perspective, the anime should technically be a reverse harem, as the game’s three potential love interests vie for the protagonist’s attention. However, the anime subtly pairs the three Princes with different characters, with Yu showing signs of affection for Misha, and Thane falling for Claire. As the game’s own love interests defy the preset otome love routes, I’m in Love With the Villainess sheds its initial reverse harem theme entirely.

Currently immersed in a tumultuous realm, Shu finds himself enduring the harsh realities of war, devoid of any respite to his own tranquil existence. The series Now and Then, Here and There explores complex topics, primarily revolving around the aftermath of war, encompassing aspects like slavery, juvenile labor, and economic deprivation.
