As a huge fan of REPO, I was so excited to see the Monster Update finally drop, and it doesn’t disappoint! Update 0.3.0 adds a ton of new content – ten new enemies, plus upgrades and more variety in the loot and map pieces you find. Honestly, these monsters really shake things up. They’re unpredictable and keep every playthrough feeling fresh and chaotic. I’ve been digging into them, and I wanted to share a breakdown of all the new monsters added in this update.
All New Enemies Added in REPO Monster Update

| Enemy | Description | How to Counter |
|---|---|---|
| The Loom | The Loom is one of the creepiest enemies added in the update. It follows the player at a slow, deliberate pace. When close, it claps its hands to create a shockwave that deals damage to you. You can spot the Loom by its crouching animation as it slides under doors. | The Loom’s slow pace is its main weakness. Use your environment to stay out of its reach. |
| Gambit | The Gambit is a rather interesting monster in REPO. It picks you up and spins a wheel to literally decide your fate. The color wheel has five possible outcomes. After the spin ends, Gambit releases the player and leaves, temporarily ignoring all others in the area. | If you see the Gambit first, hide until it loses interest. If it catches you, there’s nothing you can do. While getting pulled, you can use your weapon to attack. |
| Bella | Bella, a little girl riding a tricycle around the level, sounds completely harmless at first, but she can turn from adorable to deadly enemy in seconds. She won’t attack unless provoked. If you touch her, block her path, or get in her way for too long, she’ll ring her bell in warning. After the third bell, she goes berserk, chasing and attacking you nonstop for about ten seconds. | Stay out of Bella’s way. Let her ride freely, and she’ll ignore you completely. |
| Oogly | The Oogly is an alien-like creature with a terrifying presence. Its main threat comes from its spotlight. If a player walks into the beam, it immediately swoops down and attacks you, quickly draining up to 40 HP. Once it’s done attacking, it will disappear. | Stay in the shadows or hide under objects to avoid Oogly’s spotlight. If it attacks, try to dodge and leave the room. |
| Heart Hugger | The Heart Hugger looks like a harmless Venus flytrap at first, but it soon turns lethal. If a player enters their range, the Heart Hugger releases a cloud of pink mist. This gives them faint pink wings and slowly pulls them to the creature. Once they’re close enough, Heart Huggers turn into monstrous flytraps and deal heavy damage. | If you see the pink mist, back away immediately or take cover to break the line of sight and prevent being pulled. |
| Cleanup Crew | The Cleanup Crew is one of the most dangerous enemies in the update. When it spots you, it throws its head, which bounces toward you before exploding. The explosion releases a radiation mist that causes continuous damage. | Break the line of sight immediately when you see the Cleanup Crew. Avoid trying to grab the bouncing head, as it shortens the timer. |
| Birthday Boy | The Birthday Boy feels like a comical entry, but he’s terrifying when angry. Normally, he seems harmless and roams the map while placing balloons around the area. However, if a balloon is popped, he becomes super aggressive and slaps the player repeatedly. | Don’t touch the balloons, and you’ll be fine. In case a balloon pops, try to run away immediately to avoid being detected. |
| Tick | The Tick is tiny but deadly when provoked. If you grab it, it will latch on and start draining your HP. | The Tick only attacks when it is picked up, so it’s best to leave it alone. Interestingly, tumbling into the Tick while it’s attached will instantly kill it. When it dies, it releases a healing mist that restores your health. |
| Elsa | Elsa is a sweet little dog that can’t be picked up, only petted. With 600 HP and 15 damage per hit, she’s friendly by default. However, if she’s hurt by players or other enemies, she turns into a massive beast. Elsa will attack the player and deal continuous contact damage. | Pet her gently, don’t attack, and defend her from harm. |
| Headgrab | The Headgrab quite literally steals heads. It aimlessly roams around but if it spots a player, it will attack repeatedly. In co-op mode, the Headgrab actually picks up a fallen player’s head and wears it around. While wearing the head, it becomes faster and more aggressive. | Try your best to avoid its line of sight. If the Headgrab steals a teammate’s head, try to retrieve it quickly. |
