ARC Raiders is an exciting extraction shooter that’s easy for newcomers to pick up, but still offers a good challenge for experienced players.
When you venture to the surface in ARC Raiders to fight ARC machines and other players, you gain experience points (XP) that help you become more powerful. Understanding the highest level you can reach, and the best ways to earn XP, will make your expeditions much smoother.
What Is The Max Level in ARC Raiders?
In ARC Raiders, you’ll gain experience points (XP) and level up your character by completing missions and successfully escaping each map. Leveling up gives you skill points, which you can use to improve your character’s abilities and prepare for future challenges.
When the game launches, the highest level you can reach will be 75. This also means you’ll have 75 skill points to use for improving your character. Since there are more skills available than points, you’ll need to carefully choose which ones to unlock.
How To Increase Player Level Fast In ARC Raiders
Leveling up to the maximum in ARC Raiders requires dedication, but certain strategies can significantly speed up the process. Here are the most effective ways to earn XP quickly:
- Looting and scavenging
- Damaging and destroying ARC machines
- Damaging and defeating other players
- Successful extractions
- Long periods of time topside
- Completing quests
Keeping that in mind, here are some strategies players can use to earn XP quickly and level up faster. These tips will help you efficiently farm XP.
Be the aggressor
Although ARC Raiders offers opportunities for teamwork with other players and friends, it’s fundamentally a player-versus-player game. Expect uncertain encounters as you try to figure out if others are friendly or hostile, but generally, it’s best to take the initiative and be the one to attack first.
Unlike dealing with other players, you won’t have to worry about why ARC machines are attacking – you’ll just need to be prepared for a tough fight. And you’ll earn plenty of experience points for both damaging and defeating all enemies, whether they’re human raiders or ARC machines.
Loot, loot, loot!
Raiders venture to the surface to gather valuable resources and improve life for those living underground. Players will need to thoroughly explore every part of the abandoned buildings and surrounding areas on each map to find these resources.
You’ll always get at least 200XP for checking any place you can loot, even if someone else has already been there. This includes searching raider corpses, destroyed machine wreckage, and gathering fruit from trees.
Run a marathon, not a sprint
Although it might not always be possible, completing levels slowly can actually help you level up faster. It’s good to do quick runs when you need basic items, but once you’re equipped to handle longer ones, it’s worth taking your time.
You’ll earn almost 200 experience points every minute you’re on the surface, making it easy to gain XP just by completing runs and playing it safe. Since runs can often last over 20 minutes, even a few long expeditions will help you level up quickly.
Know when to call it a day
As a player, I’ve learned that every minute I spend in a raid actually gets me experience points, which is great! But it’s super important to remember that if I fail to escape, I lose all the loot I collected – except for whatever I stashed in my Safe Pocket, thankfully. Plus, I miss out on a bonus chunk of XP you get for successfully extracting. So getting out alive is a big deal!
Going inside buildings, especially ones that seem to have valuable items, is always dangerous. You might find hostile robots and other players waiting for you. So, think carefully before you enter. If you’re running low on ammo, have a full inventory, or are injured, ask yourself if the potential rewards are worth the danger.
