As an enthusiastic gamer, I’m thrilled to share that throughout the year, there are numerous exhilarating gaming events that stir up excitement for upcoming hits such as Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2. This year at Gamescom, we can anticipate a diverse lineup of fan-favorite games, with some already confirmed to be showcased. Call of Duty: Black Ops 6
As a thrilled fan, I can’t wait to dive back into the world of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6! This year’s installment in the long-running first-person shooter franchise is shaping up to be an exhilarating experience for all, marking one of the first significant releases in the series on Xbox Game Pass.
Monster Hunter Wilds
In the forthcoming chapter of the demanding Monster Hunt series, titled Monster Hunter Wilds, players are transported to a brand-new setting teeming with exclusive monsters, weaponry, and talents. These elements aim to rejuvenate the series by introducing something fresh. Previously, we’ve caught glimpses of improved weather conditions and boss battles, but Gamescom is expected to unveil more gameplay details!
Star Wars Outlaws
As a die-hard Star Wars enthusiast, I can’t help but get excited about Ubisoft’s upcoming open-world, single-player title, Star Wars Outlaws. This summer blockbuster promises an epic experience, offering multiple planets to traverse, space flight, tactical combat, stealth elements, and a storyline that responds to our choices. We’ve already delved into its fascinating world, but with Gamescom on the horizon, the team still has one last chance to win over fans like me before its release at the end of August!
Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2
As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of gaming under my belt, I must say that the upcoming third-person shooter, Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, from developer Saber Interactive has piqued my interest like no other game this year. Having grown up playing Warhammer tabletop games and being a fan of the lore, I can’t help but be drawn to this title. The prospect of once again stepping into the armored boots of Captain Titus, this time facing off against Tyranids rather than Orks, has me eagerly anticipating its release.
Little Nightmares 3
Building on the tremendous success of Little Nightmares and its sequel, Supermassive Games returns with a new installment: Little Nightmares 3. In this chapter, players follow the journey of two companions, Low & Alone, as they seek a means to escape from Nowhere. The game offers the option for dual protagonists, allowing players to either team up in full co-op or have an AI companion for company. Get ready to delve deeper into Little Nightmares 3 at Gamescom this month!
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl
After our recent postponement and in-depth 35-minute session that offered an unprecedented amount of gameplay and design aspects, everyone is anxiously counting down the days until the release of Stalker 2: Heart of Chernobyl. Fortunately, it’s just a few months away, leaving us all eager for more. With Gamescom on the horizon, developer GSC Game World promises to deliver what we’ve been waiting for!
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2
Once again, just like young King Henry, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 transports us into 15th-century Medieval Europe for another grand adventure filled with sword battles, horse rides, and approximately five hours of cinematics to enrich the narrative. At Gamescom, we’re eagerly waiting for more gameplay from Henry’s point of view as he roams through Medieval Europe, as well as a confirmed release date!
Dune Awakening
As a passionate admirer, I’m thrilled about “Dune Awakening,” a new venture by Funcom, creators of Conan Exiles. This upcoming game delves into the legendary universe of Frank Herbert’s Dune, promising a similar gameplay style but with its unique charm. It’s billed as an open-world survival MMO, offering an expansive, persisting sandbox world ripe for exploration, combat, and construction. Fingers crossed that we get a glimpse of this project at Gamescom!
Civilization VII
The classic turn-based strategy series makes a comeback with great anticipation across every aspect! Civilization VII, set to debut at Gamescom, promises not only gameplay insights but also details about its mechanics, nations, and multiplayer features. Keep your eyes peeled as we all eagerly await the big reveal!
Indiana Jones at the Great Circle
For longtime enthusiasts of the Indiana Jones series, their dream of embodying Indy comes true with the upcoming game Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. This single-player adventure is rich in narrative, taking players across various continents as they join Indy and his companions in battling evil forces. While we eagerly await actual gameplay at Gamescom, a cinematic trailer would also be delightful!
