Valorant Getting New ‘Anti-Toxicity’ Feature, It’s Claimed

As a seasoned gamer who’s been through the trenches of online gaming for over two decades now, I can’t help but feel like Riot Games has finally heard our prayers with the rumored ‘Black List’ feature in Valorant. For far too long, we’ve had to endure the cesspool of toxicity that is the game’s chat system, and it’s high time something was done about it.

As a gamer, I’ve experienced firsthand how toxic the gaming environment in Valorant can be. For far too long, it’s been a global issue, with in-game chat often filled with offensive remarks and disrespectful behavior. But finally, there’s hope on the horizon as it seems that Valorant is set to receive an overdue update aimed at enhancing its anti-toxicity measures.

Currently, Riot Games is said to be planning a new measure called ‘Black List’ for their game, which is aimed at addressing the issue of toxicity. This move follows Riot Games’ recent updates to the rules of Valorant back in the previous months, with the goal of reducing the presence of toxic players on their platform.

What Is The ‘Black List’ in Valorant?

According to posts on social media from Valorant Updates, Riot Games is planning to introduce a feature known as ‘Black List’, which essentially allows players to block others. It’s surprising that this hasn’t been included before, but we can attribute it to an oversight by the developers over the past four years.

The idea is floated that the Blacklist feature in Valorant could enable players to bar certain users, prohibiting communication of any kind, including messages, interactions, and friend requests.

While it’s generally well-received, some gamers have suggested that a more desirable attribute could be a ‘Block Player’ function. This feature would allow you to exclude a specific player from future matches, effectively ensuring no further encounters with them.

A more efficient approach for sidestepping harmful players might be what Riot Games considers moving forward.
