As a seasoned Minecraft player with countless hours spent mining, crafting, and exploring, the latest news about the potential release of Minecraft for PlayStation 5 has me buzzing! I’ve been eagerly waiting for this full version, especially after experiencing the preview on PS5 through the limited time offer.

Based on recent rumors, it’s possible that we may see a complete edition of Minecraft for PlayStation 5 in the near future. This speculation arises from the addition of a new PS5 ID to the Minecraft database, as reported by PlayStation Game Size on X (previously Twitter). Yet, an official confirmation about its release is still pending.

On PlayStation 5, Minecraft’s preliminary version operates using the PS4 version as a base. As a gamer diving into the pre-release version of Minecraft on my PS5, I’ve been restricted to sampling content from the Tricky Trials Update and Realms. Unfortunately, I can’t access the Minecraft Store directly and can only join multiplayer sessions with other PlayStation gamers. However, cross-play is enabled through Realms, allowing me to team up with friends playing on different platforms.
