BOOM Esports Drops Entire Dota 2 Roster

As a long-time fan of BOOM Esports, this news has left me feeling a bit like I just lost an old friend. The team was a shining star in the Dota 2 scene and their success at The International 2022 will forever be etched in my memory. But alas, all good things must come to an end, even if it’s not quite what we hoped for.

Today brings disappointment for BOOM Esports supporters, as the prominent gaming organization has made it official that they are parting ways with their entire Dota 2 team. The well-known Southeast Asian squad will no longer be participating in Dota 2 competitions due to their unsuccessful bid to qualify for The International 2024.

BOOM Esports Will No Longer Compete In Dota 2; Drops Entire Roster

After achieving significant success in Dota 2 at The International 2022, where they performed exceptionally well, the team has found it challenging to secure similar victories since then. Fans who once supported BOOM Esports wholeheartedly were disheartened to learn that the organization decided to release its entire roster.

The five-player team still plans to compete together under a new name, Team Waska.

Earlier today, the team announced on Twitter that they are planning to seek out a new representative as they prepare for the upcoming Dota 2 season.
