As a long-time enthusiast of the Final Fantasy series, I must admit that my heart skipped a beat when I laid eyes on the remake of VII. The nostalgia was palpable as I navigated the familiar streets of Midgar, but the fresh coat of paint breathed new life into this classic game.
In Final Fantasy VII, several cherished characters from the series can be found. Some are improved upon in the game’s 2020 remake, but regrettably not all make an appearance. This is logical as the game primarily focuses on the events set in Midgar within the broader storyline.
