There isn’t one single “best” spot, but I’ve learned it’s all about making a smart choice based on where the plane is flying. If you pick a location that lines up with the flight path, you’ll start the game with a much better chance of getting the gear you need and surviving!
Unlike most Battle Royale games where everyone starts from the same location, Battlefield RedSec begins with players spread across multiple helicopters flying side-by-side. This means players won’t all land at the same distance from key areas on the map. If you jump from a helicopter that’s further away from a desired location, other players who are closer will probably get there before you.
To get a quick start, select points of interest (POIs) that are near your helicopter’s flight route. POIs within roughly 1,200 meters of your path are generally the most accessible and allow for a direct descent. It’s also helpful to mark your target location in advance so you know the perfect moment to drop down.
Diversify Your Classes
Battlefield RedSec stands out from other Battle Royale games because it lets you pick a class right from the start, a feature borrowed from Battlefield 6. In Battlefield RedSec, players might find that repairing armor takes a while. It takes roughly three seconds to attach one armor plate, and about six seconds to completely replace all of them. Even though the Infantry Class can replate 33% faster with upgrades, players should still think carefully about when to restore their armor.
It’s usually best to avoid replacing plates while actively fighting unless your team can protect you. If you need to quickly replace a plate, step out of the fight and focus on getting just one plate equipped before considering adding another, ensuring it’s safe to do so.
If you damage an opponent’s plates, keep the pressure on if they try to back away when they’re alone or their allies are unavailable. This can let you catch them while they’re repairing, giving you a significant advantage.
Carry Counters For Vehicles
Vehicles, especially Tanks and IFVs, can be a major challenge for players in RedSec. Although they can be difficult to find, some players get lucky and find a Vehicle Trailer early on. If you do, it’s important to know how to handle them.
Engineers are the most effective class when it comes to fighting vehicles, because they start with a launcher that can lock onto targets, and it gets even better as they progress. While Engineers have the best access, other classes can also acquire vehicle-fighting equipment. This gear, including more launchers and anti-vehicle mines, is found in special drops and crates often opened by Engineers.
If you’re using a free-fire launcher, hitting the back, top, or sides of tanks and armored vehicles will do the most damage. When setting anti-vehicle mines, place them where vehicles won’t be expecting them, like on roads where it’s hard to see. To take down aircraft, use lock-on launchers found in supply drops and crates, but regular bullets can also be effective with enough firepower.

Gauntlet throws teams into battles on parts of the Fort Lyndon map, and everyone starts with a full set of gear. Teams face off in several rounds, each with a different goal, and get eliminated if they don’t meet the requirements to move on. The Firestorm moves slower than expected, so players can usually stay ahead of it by staying near the edge of the safe zone. This means it’s possible to fight, get back in the game after being eliminated, and collect loot around the map’s perimeter. Just avoid being touched by the Firestorm itself, or you’ll be sent back to the main menu quickly.
Shakedown Down Enemies To Reveal Their Teammates
Okay, so you’ve probably been there – you wipe out almost the whole enemy team, but someone always manages to escape, right? Well, here’s a tip: you can actually get info from downed players! When you get close to an enemy who’s down, instead of just doing a quick takedown, hold down the melee button. It plays a special animation, and once it’s done, it’ll reveal the location of any surviving enemies on the map for a few seconds. It’s a great way to finish the job and make sure you really clear the area!
Use Destruction To Your Advantage
A key feature of Battlefield RedSec is its incredible level of destruction – players can destroy almost anything in the game. This creates lots of strategic possibilities. When playing Battlefield RedSec, use explosives like rocket launchers to create new ways into buildings or eliminate enemy hiding spots.
