As a huge fan of ARC Raiders, I think the scariest thing about venturing out is definitely running into an ARC machine that’s just way more powerful than you are. Even the little guys, like Wasps and Hornets, can take you down fast if you’re not ready, which makes the bigger machines like Bastions and Bombardiers absolutely terrifying. But it looks like the developers are hinting at an even bigger enemy coming soon, and honestly, I can’t wait (and am a little scared!) to try and take it down with my fellow raiders.
ARC Raiders currently lets players challenge their skills and work together to defeat tough enemies like the Queen and the Harvester during special events. Adding more challenging raid bosses at the endgame would help keep players engaged for longer. Some players have noticed that the game already includes a perfect candidate for a new endgame boss, but it’s currently unknown when players will be able to fight it.
ARC Raiders Massive ‘Emperor’ ARCs Need to Become Threats Sooner Rather than Later
Players of ARC Raiders have nicknamed the massive, walking machines seen on the edges of the game world “Emperors.” Continuing the naming trend established by enemies like the Queen and the Baron, the Emperor is currently the largest creature discovered in the game. Though the Queen is presently the biggest boss players face, the Emperor, if fully implemented, would be much larger and pose a significantly greater threat.
Where to Find the Emperor ARCs
- Blue Gate Map
On the Blue Gate map in ARC Raiders, players can spot massive Emperors walking around far off in the distance. These colossal ARCs are almost as big as the mountains on the map. While players can’t interact with them yet, their size and presence create a sense of danger and hint at future threats.
With the new Stella Montis map coming to ARC Raiders, some players think the game’s Emperors might become hostile. This is because the map is located near Blue Gate. Although the official ARC Raiders roadmap doesn’t confirm this, it’s likely players will soon be able to battle these enemies as the game receives more updates and content.
The plan for ARC Raiders in the rest of 2025 includes new enemies called Matriarch and Shredder, but these aren’t the massive, towering walkers that players have been calling Emperors.
ARC Raiders Can’t Drag its Feet with Adding Endgame Enemies
While new enemies are planned for ARC Raiders, the game needs a consistent stream of challenging endgame content, especially now that more players are reaching the highest levels. Looking at the success of games like Helldivers 2, which regularly receives updates, shows ARC Raiders how often it should add new things to keep players engaged. Helldivers 2 waited a long time to introduce a major new enemy group, the Illuminate, and that delay may have harmed the game’s long-term popularity. ARC Raiders should learn from that mistake and consistently deliver fresh content.
Currently, ARC Raiders is doing well and has a solid plan for future updates, which should keep players engaged for the remainder of the year. To build on this momentum, introducing a major new boss, like the Emperor, would really get people excited again. Ideally, ARC Raiders should release these kinds of challenging enemies relatively soon, maybe in early 2026.
