Once Human: How To Get The Strange Door Deviant

Once Human: How To Get The Strange Door Deviant

As a seasoned gamer who’s spent countless hours exploring the vast and mysterious world of Once Human, I can’t help but sing praises for the enigmatic Strange Door deviant. This peculiar creature might seem innocuous at first glance, but its impact on my base has been nothing short of transformative.

In the world of Once Human, there are numerous beings known as deviants. Some of these deviants assist players in managing their territories and battling monsters, while others, like the Strange Door, serve a more supportive role. The Strange Door may not be particularly active on its own, but it provides valuable resources that can greatly benefit players with expansive or intricate bases.

In the fictional world of “Once Human,” The Strange Door is an unusual character from the Territory. If by chance you haven’t managed to secure one for your own collection, here’s a handy guide that will help you locate one and provides essential information about this peculiar character, also known as a deviant.

Where To Get The Strange Door In Once Human

Adventurers often stumble upon a drifting, peculiar Door near riddles involving doors scattered throughout the map. These doors manifest as small clusters of misplaced doorways occupying a specific area. They stand out distinctly, although they are scarce. Here are some locations where we’ve found these strange door puzzles so far, along with approximate coordinates:

  • Dayton Wetlands: Right behind the eastern palisade of Throughville (6504, -5211)
  • Broken Delta: In the jungle thicket south of the Gaia Cliff Monolith (4417, -6469)
  • Iron River: South of Ricci Securement Point (6611, -3682)

It’s possible that a Space Turner could show up in any of the places where a puzzle involving doors is found, rather than finding a peculiar door there.

1. The door puzzles are similar to Teleportation Towers; if you don’t find a Mysterious Door in any of these, try changing worlds in “Once Human”. This action transports you into another version of the game on the same server. So, there’s a possibility that the Mysterious Door may be present at the same location but in a different game world.

Additionally, finishing the primary mission in the Chalk Peak region will reward you with a Mysterious Door. During the quest just preceding the Shadow Hound boss battle, if you successfully complete this section, it will create an anomaly containing the Mysterious Door for players to seize.

What Do Strange Doors Do?

The peculiar entity known as The Strange Door functions by naturally generating fragments of the Shattered Strange Door, a resource essential for constructing Standing Portals. Gather these components along with Steel Ingots, Glass, and Acid to fabricate temporary portals that you can position throughout your base.

In your fortress, you can create just one set of portals. Each time you utilize a portal, the door behind it will sustain 20 points of wear and tear. Be sure to perform regular maintenance on them. Fortunately, this upkeep won’t require any extra resources from you.

Just as I’ve found myself favoring alternative versions of the “Once Human” deviants, such as Artisan’s Touch, I can’t help but feel that a Strange Door in one of my Securement Containers isn’t particularly beneficial for long periods. It merely generates crafting materials. Therefore, I strongly suggest accumulating a modest collection of Shattered Strange Doors and replacing the Strange Door deviant with something more practical, like Chefosaurus, Digby Boy, or Paper Doll.
