On one hand, the anticipation has been building ever since Bioware announced their ‘Upcoming Reveals’ schedule. On the other hand, history has shown us that unofficial leaks often turn out to be premature or even misleading.

Yesterday, it was officially announced by the developers of Dragon Age: Veilguard that the game’s launch is expected to happen today, on August 15th. Interestingly enough, prior to this formal announcement, a leaked video showcasing the game’s release date began circulating online.

A brief preview for Dragon Age: The Veilguard was unexpectedly shared on r/GamingLeaksAndRumours, a well-known gaming subreddit, before any formal announcement. This short 20-second clip offers glimpses of cinematics and gameplay, culminating in the reveal of the upcoming title’s release date, which is October 31, 2024.

Yesterday, Bioware unveiled an ‘Upcoming Releases’ schedule on their platform (previously Twitter). This schedule indicated that a release date trailer and announcement will be made available on August 15th. In the week of August 19th, a ‘High-Level Combat and PC Focus’ trailer is expected, followed by a spotlight on Dragon Age: The Veilguard’s Companions during the week of August 26th, with a scheduled Developer Discord Q&A for August 30th. Additional reveals are planned for September and beyond.
