Dragon Age: The Veilguard official release date confirmed

As a lifelong fan of the Dragon Age series, I can barely contain my excitement! After years of anticipation, EA and BioWare have finally given us a release date for Dragon Age: The Veilguard – Halloween 2024! This is like Christmas, my birthday, and Solstice all rolled into one.

At long last, EA and BioWare have revealed the official launch date for Dragon Age: Veilguard, the fourth major installment in the highly-praised Dragon Age series. The video trailer below discloses that it will be available on Thursday, October 31, 2024.

Absolutely, you’re correct! It appears the release is planned for Halloween, though the motives behind this decision remain a mystery to us. As communicated by Creative Director John Epler in an official statement, here’s what he had to say:

Working on Dragon Age for more than 15 years, I understand the anticipation our community has felt. And let me tell you, it’s with equal enthusiasm that I announce the official release of the game on October 31. Our aim was to offer you an opportunity to showcase your unique persona, and we’ve crafted a world teeming with adventure and peril for you to explore. Whether you identify as a Warrior, Rogue, or Mage, we can hardly wait for you to equip yourself, assemble your team, and embark on another exhilarating journey through Thedas this Halloween!

In Dragon Age: The Veilguard, you step into the role of a freshly customizable character named Rook, embarking on a mission to challenge a band of corrupted Elven deities. Along the way, you’ll meet new allies like Davrin, Neve, Taash, Bellara, Emmrich, Lucanis, and the returning tough-as-nails Harding. As is characteristic of Dragon Age, every member of your team plays a crucial role, and the bonds formed or shattered throughout your journey significantly impact the outcome.
