However, a particularly noteworthy Pokemon GO player recently gained virality by capturing an exceptionally rare Pokemon in a remarkable location.
Music producer and avid Pokemon GO player ‘Glitch’ managed to snag a rare, shiny Jirachi atop one of the world’s tallest mountains – Mauna Kea in Hawaii. This remarkable achievement was marked by her posting photos from the summit of this iconic peak, where she successfully completed the challenging Masterwork Research Wish Grant in Pokemon GO, earning the elusive shiny Jirachi. Standing 10,205 meters tall, Mauna Kea, a dormant volcano, holds the title when considering mountains that start below sea level, surpassing Mount Everest’s 8,848 meters above sea level.

In their responses, other Pokemon GO players praised the music producer’s accomplishment, who is currently in Hawaii for the 2024 Pokemon World Championships. This month, trainers have been able to capture Mega Rayquaza and various fossil Pokemon during events. In anticipation of the 2024 Pokemon World Championships, a new research mission has been introduced in Pokemon GO, offering rewards like encountering a Sableye that knows Fast Attack Shadow Claw and Charged Attack Foul Play. Towards the end of this month, there will be August’s Community Day Classic featuring Beldum, an earlier form of Metang.
