Does ARC Raiders Have A Solo Mode? Solo Queue, Explained

I’ve been playing ARC Raiders since it launched, and it’s awesome to see so many people jumping in! But honestly, I’m really hoping to play through the game on my own. I’ve been looking into whether a solo run is possible, and I’ve gathered all the info I could find on how to do it – or if it’s even doable!

For many gamers, the focus used to be entirely on single-player experiences. Multiplayer gaming didn’t really become popular until the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, and even now, a lot of players still enjoy playing alone. In ARC Raiders, exploring the world on your own can be particularly appealing, offering both risks and exciting opportunities.

Let’s check if ARC Raiders offers a solo queue option.

Can You Solo Queue In ARC Raiders?

You can definitely play ARC Raiders by yourself, and you can adjust the settings to try and avoid playing with others if you prefer.

Even in 2025, many game companies aren’t letting players fully customize their experience, which seems odd considering it would make sense. A good example is Battlefield 6’s REDSEC battle royale, which didn’t include a solo mode at launch – only options for playing with a partner or in teams of four. This left players who prefer to play alone feeling puzzled and annoyed, and rightfully so.

Good news for those who prefer playing alone: ARC Raiders lets you explore the game world without needing to team up with others. Here’s how to easily play the game solo.

How To Play Solo In ARC Raiders, Explained

Turning off the “Fill Squad” option in ARC Raiders will almost guarantee you play matches alone.

It’s simple to do, but here are the quick steps to play solo:

  1. Load up ARC Raiders.
  2. Go to the main Play menu screen.
  3. Look in the bottom-right corner where it says Fill Squad.
  4. Switch this to Off.
  5. This massively increases your odds of getting a solo game—but it’s not guaranteed.

Going into ARC Raiders by yourself is really challenging. You’re much more vulnerable to groups of competitive players, and dealing with the different types of ARCs is a lot harder when you don’t have teammates. We knew it wouldn’t be easy to play alone! However, we should note that one exceptionally skilled player did manage to defeat The Queen by themselves.

You’re free to make your own choices and focus on what you want to achieve. You can pursue bigger rewards and prioritize your own success.
