The guide below contains minor spoilers for the fifth episode of Dispatch.

Dispatch Episode 5 (Team Building) Walkthrough

The episode begins with Robert working out at the gym, lost in thought about a previous fight. While he’s bench pressing, Flambae appears and offers to spot him, which triggers a conversation.

  • I’m no Normie.
  • Thanks for babysitting me.
  • Heroes get hurt.

Feel free to choose any option – once you do, the first set of calls for this episode will start. Pay close attention to the highlighted words on the right side of each call, as they’ll help you quickly identify the best superhero to send for the highest chance of success. This is also the first time you’ll encounter a new rule: if your chosen superhero’s stats are too high, you’re guaranteed to fail the call. This will be clearly indicated, so be sure to send someone with appropriate stats.

Once the initial steps are complete, you’ll find yourself in the break room. Malevola and Prism will be talking about who you are. You can respond however you like, but keep in mind that your choice will have consequences later on.

  • I was blue.
  • No hints.
  • I’m double-jointed.

After leaving the break room, you’ll see Robert working on the suit while Chase sits nearby. He’ll then ask you if you’re going to kill Shroud, and your decision will have consequences later in the game.

  • Yes.
  • I’m not sure…
  • Heroes don’t kill people.

Next, you’ll encounter a new series of challenges involving hacking. These sequences introduce a mechanic where you’ll need to redirect power by taking electricity from specific sources and creating a connected path. Keep an eye out for Antivirus programs that will chase you, but you can disable them by using your overcharged state. You’ll receive many requests for help, so think carefully about who you send to handle them, and be mindful of stat limits during certain calls.

After the phone call ends, the team will invite you to the Sardine bar. If you previously chose to go to the movies with Invisigal, you’ll be able to talk to her there. She’ll remember your earlier response during the conversation, but the following cutscene will play out the same way regardless.

  • I had a good time.
  • We can just be friends.
  • That wasn’t a date.

After this, you will have multiple dialogue options inside the bar with the team:

  • Option # 1: (Can go for any choice)
    • I am a narc.
    • Been doing this long?
    • You’re buying next.
  • Option # 2: (Can go for any choice)
    • Is that all you got?
    • Stand down, immediately.
    • I’m not done with you yet.
  • Option # 3: (All choices will be remembered and lead to the same outcome, but in the last choice, you start the fight)
    • Relax. I’m leaving.
    • Let me buy you a drink.
    • Since you twisted my arm…

Your conversation with Invisigal is interrupted by a bar fight, and you’ll be presented with several choices during the brawl. Once the fight is over, the Z-Team will be outside a restaurant, and Punch Up will ask you who you are.

  • I’m Robert.
  • I’m Mecha Man.

This episode features a key decision with branching paths, largely involving Flambae. Choosing the first option leads to Flambae questioning why you’re hiding your identity, but he’ll eventually reveal his own name. If you choose the second option, Robert publicly announces he is Mecha Man, shocking everyone. This angers Flambae, who attacks you with fire, but Golem intervenes to help.

If you previously helped the Waterboy, he’ll assist you now. Otherwise, Malevola will get upset and splash Flambae with her drink, sending him flying off. After either of those scenarios, everyone will introduce themselves, and the episode will conclude.
