All Game Modes in Battlefield 6 Gauntlet

Gauntlet mode is a competitive tournament where multiple player squads face off in a series of knockout rounds. The aim is to consistently outperform other squads to advance until only one remains. This mode is a significant change from typical Battlefield 6 gameplay, feeling more like RedSec’s battle royale experience, but with quicker matches and a tighter focus.

Gauntlet is a much more unpredictable game mode in Battlefield 6 than the others. Each match plays out differently, offering a unique experience. The mode features eight mission types, but only four will appear in any given match. Here’s an overview of all the missions, along with strategies to help you win.

All Gauntlet Game Modes in BF6

Gauntlet is a mode where 32 players, split into eight teams, battle it out over several rounds. Each Gauntlet game has four rounds, and the two lowest-scoring teams are eliminated after each one. Currently, there are eight different types of challenges within Gauntlet, and the developers plan to add more as the game is updated.

Deadlock

Deadlock is a game where you try to capture and hold a specific area while preventing the other team from doing the same. It’s like King of the Hill, but with multiple zones to capture and more players involved.

This Gauntlet mode in BF6 is relatively straightforward. The easiest way to play is to focus on capturing and holding a specific area, eliminating any enemies who approach. However, to achieve first place, it’s best to aggressively seek out and eliminate other teams. Remember, you earn an extra point for every kill and squad revive, so taking an enemy zone and completely defeating the opposing team will maximize your score.

The maximum number of active zones in Deadlock is reduced depending on how many squads are left.

Decryption

In the Decryption game mode, players need to capture and hold beacons. These beacons gradually upload data over more than 50 seconds. However, holding a beacon reveals your location to opponents, making you a target. Also, sprinting with a beacon will stop the data upload process.

We’ve found that playing defensively is the most effective strategy for winning Decryption rounds, especially if your team can control several beacons simultaneously. If you can’t secure multiple beacons right away, you’ll need to take them from other teams, but be careful not to get ambushed. Remember that points are doubled in the last minute of each round, so try to time your decryptions to take advantage of that bonus.

Vendetta

Vendetta is like a team deathmatch with a twist: there are High-Value Targets (HVTs). When your team controls an HVT, everyone gets bonus points every few seconds. But be careful – everyone can see where the HVTs are, so you’ll need to protect yours to keep those points coming!

Vendetta matches are usually fast-paced and unpredictable, and there’s no guaranteed strategy for success. Your main goals should be protecting your team’s VIP and eliminating any threats you encounter. Come prepared with your strongest weapons and stay alert.

Extraction

In Extraction missions, players need to find and collect data consoles scattered throughout the map, then bring them to designated drop-off locations. Each console successfully delivered earns the team 3 points, and each player can carry a maximum of 10 consoles at a time.

Work together to move forward, or if you split up, grab as many consoles as you can. Just remember that when someone sends a console to a drone, that drone will be unavailable for a little while. If several of you are carrying consoles, it’s best to wait for each other before anyone sends theirs in.

To get the highest score in Extraction rounds, focus on actively finding and defeating other players to take their consoles.

Wreckage

Wreckage is similar to the classic Rush mode from Battlefield 6, but with a new element. Bombs appear throughout the map, and players can use them to destroy key objectives called MCOMs. You get 10 points for destroying an MCOM, and 5 points for safely defusing a bomb.

Okay, so this Gauntlet mode is seriously tricky. If I’m trying to blow up MCOMs, I really have to watch where they are and where the nearest bomb is at all times. I try not to bother defusing any armed MCOMs unless they’re right in front of me – it’s just too much hassle otherwise!

Bombs are always ready to explode, even before they’re placed. If you set a bomb that’s about to go off, you can capture the objective and prevent the enemy from disarming it.

Circuit

In Circuit, the main objective is to take control of and keep as many consoles as you can, while preventing the opposing team from doing the same. The map is split into a grid of hexagonal spaces, each of which contains a console you’ll need to capture by interacting with it directly.

In Circuit, we generally focus on capturing zones one by one, always moving towards a strong, nearby spot like the inside of a building. Once there, we then try to control zones in a circle around that key location. This lets us hold several zones simultaneously and still be ready to take more if the opportunity arises.

Contract

Contract mode is a fast-paced, high-stakes version of the game. It’s similar to a regular match where you try to eliminate the opposing team, but there’s a catch: if your entire squad is defeated, you’re immediately out of the competition, no matter how many points you’ve earned.

Staying cautious is key to making it through a Contract round, but you also need to be active. If time runs out, or another team scores enough points while your team is losing, you’ll be eliminated.

Heist

Heist is only used in the last round of a BF6 Gauntlet match, and there’s a good reason for that: it’s essentially Capture the Flag. Each team has a briefcase they need to defend, and the main goal is to steal the other team’s briefcase and bring it back to your base to earn a lot of points.

Heist is currently the most challenging game mode in Gauntlet, and teamwork is essential to win. We highly suggest including a player specializing in Assault, equipped with either Stun Grenades or the Thermobaric Grenade Launcher. These tools can slow down opponents trying to escape, making them easier to eliminate or catch.
