Best Weapons for BF6 Gauntlet Mode

Gauntlet is a free-to-play game mode in Battlefield 6. It’s different from the usual battle royale experience, offering faster-paced, focused matches. Several squads compete in four rounds of intense combat until only one is left standing. Gauntlet takes place on the Fort Lyndon map, so players should choose weapons and equipment suited for that environment. This guide will help you win more often by recommending the best guns for each class and providing effective loadouts for Gauntlet mode in Battlefield 6.

While any weapon can be used in Battlefield 6’s Gauntlet mode, some are naturally better suited for it. We’ve selected these weapons because they consistently perform well in the mode’s dynamic and unpredictable battles.

Best Class Loadouts for Gauntlet Mode in BF6

Gauntlet is a game mode designed for teamwork, where success depends on how well players with different classes coordinate. The classes in Gauntlet use the same abilities and stats as those in standard Battlefield 6 multiplayer, so players familiar with those systems shouldn’t encounter any major surprises compared to RedSec.

Because Gauntlet lets you use any weapon you find, this guide section will cover helpful gadgets. If you’re looking for the best weapons specifically for BF6 Gauntlet mode, feel free to jump ahead.

Best Class Builds for Gauntlet Mode in BF6
Class Equipment
Assault Assault Ladder M320 HE Grenade Launcher Frag Grenades
Engineer RPG-7V2 Vehicle Supply Crate/AV Mines Frag Grenades
Support Defibrillators M320 Smoke Launcher/Deployable Cover Incendiary/Smoke Grenades
Recon Recon Drone C4 Explosives/Claymore Frag Grenades

The Assault Ladder is perfect for getting to high vantage points or surprising enemies. The M320 HE Launcher can help you finish off opponents, damage their armor, or destroy protective cover. If you’re playing as the Assault class in BF6 Gauntlet mode, your job is to lead the charge and capture territory for your team.

As an Engineer, your job is to take out enemy buildings and vehicles. The RPG-7 is your most powerful rocket launcher, but the MBT Law is a great alternative if you haven’t unlocked it yet. Use the Vehicle Supply Crate to restock ammo for any vehicles you capture. If you don’t have that crate, AV Mines are a good choice – place them in front of and behind enemy vehicles to destroy them, or even blow holes in walls by placing and shooting the mines.

As a Support player, your main role is to keep your teammates alive by providing ammo and extra equipment. Use your Smoke Launcher to create cover for yourself or block the enemy’s vision. If you haven’t unlocked it yet, use Smoke Grenades and Deployable Cover instead. Incendiary Grenades are useful for preventing enemies from being revived, but use them when your team already has other ways to create smoke cover.

If you’re playing as Recon, definitely use the Recon Drone to survey the area before engaging. Knowing where your opponents are is a huge advantage in these game modes and will significantly increase your chances of winning. For your secondary gadget, choose between C4 explosives – great for taking out vehicles and structures – or Claymores, which let you set traps for the enemy.

Best Assault Rifles for BF6 Gauntlet Mode

The Kord is our number one choice for Assault Rifles in Gauntlet mode. It also topped our list of best ARs for BF6 because of its exceptional accuracy, minimal recoil, and fast time-to-kill at close to medium distances. While the heavier armor in Gauntlet mode means you’ll use a bit more ammo, the Kord can still eliminate opponents quickly with accurate shots.

Our second recommendation for Assault Rifles is the AK4D. While it was last on our overall list of best assault rifles, it performs surprisingly well in Gauntlet for a few key reasons:

  • Most maps in Gauntlet mode feature long sightlines that players can easily take and hold.
  • High-damage guns are more valuable in Gauntlet mode due to players having armor plates.

Okay, so it’s still a little tricky up close, but honestly, if you can land those headshots, you’ll win most of those close-quarters fights. I’m pretty confident about that!

The M433 and B36A4 are good choices as weapons because the M433 deals a lot of damage up close, and the B36A4 is dependable at most distances.

Best SMGs for BF6 Gauntlet Mode

The PW5A3 is the top choice for an SMG in this game mode. It deals great damage, quickly defeating even heavily armored opponents, and is surprisingly accurate at medium distances. Best of all, it’s available early in the game, so everyone – including free-to-play players – can use it.

Okay, let’s talk about the SCW-10. Seriously, this thing can delete enemies – it’s one of the fastest-killing guns in the game. It does get a little trickier in Gauntlet mode because the extra enemy health highlights its weaknesses, but it’s still a beast. Honestly, I only recommend bringing the SCW-10 into Gauntlet if you’ve unlocked the 20-round magazine. You’re constantly facing multiple enemies in that mode, and running out of ammo mid-fight is a huge problem. You’ll lose momentum super fast if you don’t have enough bullets!

Best Carbines for BF6 Gauntlet Mode

The SG-553R and QBZ-192 are both excellent choices and very similar in performance. The SG-553R deals more damage at close range, making it ideal for aggressive players. However, the QBZ-192 is simpler to control, with less recoil and good accuracy when firing continuously, making it a great all-around option.

The M4A1 is a solid choice for Gauntlet mode. It deals a lot of damage up close, making it great for close-quarters combat. However, its effectiveness decreases at longer ranges – beyond about 25 meters – because of reduced damage and tougher enemy armor.

Best LMGs for BF6 Gauntlet Mode

As for machine guns, we have three recommendations:

  • The M60 is great for the same reasons as the AK4D.
  • The M123K is excellent for fighting in CQB.
  • The M250 is highly accurate and deals excellent damage over long ranges.

The M60 is a strong weapon, dealing 33 damage per shot when you’re close to your target – within 0 to 25 meters. Because you’ll have armor protection, you can be more aggressive in close-range fights. If you’re having trouble up close, the M123K might be a better choice.

The M250 isn’t about dealing massive damage quickly; it’s more reliable and consistent. It does 25 damage per shot up to 100 meters, meaning it takes six shots to take down players with armor. This makes it a good choice for the open areas of Fort Lyndon, and it can still perform well in close-quarters combat.

Best DMR for BF6 Gauntlet Mode

Generally, all DMRs in BF6 are effective for the Gauntlet game mode, with the exception of the LMR27. The LMR27 isn’t a great choice because its damage per shot is low, it doesn’t hold many bullets, and reloading takes a long time. The other DMRs are all good options to consider.

  • The SVK can kill armored players with three hits to the chest or two hits to the head.
  • The SVDM and M39 require more bullets to kill, but they fire faster, making them suitable for close range.

Best Shotguns for BF6 Gauntlet Mode

The M1014 is often considered the best shotgun in Gauntlet thanks to its powerful damage and semi-automatic firing. It’s faster than the M870 and hits harder than the 18.5KS-K. When you use Slug ammo with the M1014, it significantly outperforms all other shotguns.

While shotguns are powerful, they won’t instantly defeat armored enemies in Gauntlet mode. Using slug rounds can slightly increase their range, but you’ll generally be at a disadvantage against players with other weapons at medium distances. We suggest saving shotguns for the last round, or for situations where you’ll be fighting up close.

Best Sniper Rifle for BF6 Gauntlet Mode

For this game mode, the M2010 ESR is the top sniper rifle choice. It’s a great all-around weapon, offering faster bullet speed and a higher fire rate than the PSR and SV-98, and it deals more damage than the Mini Fix.

Most sniper rifles perform similarly, so the choice really comes down to personal preference. The Mini Fix is different though – it can’t instantly eliminate enemies wearing armor.
