India’s Prime Minister Wants The Country To ‘Lead The World of Gaming’

As a seasoned gamer with roots deeply embedded in Indian soil, I can’t help but feel a surge of enthusiasm as our esteemed Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, takes a bold stride towards embracing the gaming industry. Growing up, we didn’t have the luxury of unlimited access to games due to various restrictions, but the spirit of competition and camaraderie was never lacking in the makeshift gaming arenas we created.

In simpler terms, India has not always been a free market for video games. Over the years, the Indian government has prohibited many games such as Fallout 3, PUBG Mobile, and Free Fire. They also control certain apps’ functions within the country. However, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has shown support for gaming in general, despite these restrictions.

During the 78th Independence Day festivities of our nation, the Prime Minister of India declared an ambitious promise regarding the future of gaming within our country.

‘To The Entire World’

In more recent times, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has shown a slight inclination towards the idea of the gaming sector, though he hasn’t traditionally been its ardent supporter.

Back in April, I found myself immersed in intense gaming sessions alongside some of India’s top influencers and competitive players. Now, I’m daring to dream big about the future of gaming in this vibrant nation.

India boasts a profound cultural legacy. It’s time to unveil fresh talent within the realm of video games. My vision is for every Indian child, young adult, IT workers, and AI specialists to spearhead the global gaming scene – not only as players but also as creators, distributing our game creations worldwide. Let’s solidify India’s position as a leader in animation globally.

As I recently sat down with some influential friends, I found myself immersed in the world of Stumble Guys on my trusty mobile device. But that wasn’t all – I donned a VR headset to slice up notes as Beat Saber’s rhythmic beats filled the air. To top it off, I had the pleasure of experiencing Raji, an enthralling adventure game that showcases the best of Indian storytelling and game development.

Various governments worldwide are enthusiastically fostering the development of gaming and esports, appreciating the substantial income these swiftly burgeoning sectors generate. It’s speculated that India may soon emerge as a significant force, aiming to leave its mark on this dynamic scene.
