As a longtime Fortnite enthusiast with over 500 wins under my belt, I can confidently say that Chapter 5 Season 4 is shaping up to be the most exciting season yet! The addition of Marvel characters like Gwenpool, War Machine, and Captain America’s shield is a welcome throwback to previous seasons.
Today marks the start of Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4, dubbed “Absolute Doom”. Here’s a rundown of all the new features you can expect in this Marvel-themed season: Points of Interest (POIs), Marvel-inspired weapons, mythical items, details about the battle pass, and much more!
Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4 POIs
In the most recent Fortnite season, Dr. Doom and his forces have assumed the role of the primary antagonists. To solidify his power on the island, Dr. Doom has established new focal points during Chapter 2, Season 4. The first of these is Castle Doom, an imposing structure that casts a vast shadow across the island. Following this, there’s The Raft – a heavily guarded prison that Dr. Doom has transported to the island for recruiting more nefarious characters. Lastly, Doomstadt, a village governed by Doom, can be found on the island as well. In addition, players may discover an homage to the Fantastic Four within this region.
Marvel Weapons
In the recently launched Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4, often referred to as Marvel’s comeback season, an assortment of fresh weapons have been introduced. Making their reappearance are Dr Doom’s Gauntlets and Captain America’s Shield, both equipped with enhanced abilities. Additionally, we’ve got some new additions to the arsenal, such as Gwenpool’s Dual Micro SMGs and War Machine’s Arsenal, Auto Turret, and Hover Jets. Most recently, Black Panther’s claws have been unveiled as a new melee weapon in trailers for this season.
Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4 Medallions and Mythics
Three new items – medallions and mythical weapons – in Fortnite’s latest season are earned by defeating three different bosses. The first is Doombot, located in Castle Doom; defeating him yields the Siphon Medallion and the Monarch Pistol. Next up is Emma Frost at The Raft, who players can beat to get the Reveal Medallion and the Striker Burst Rifle. Lastly, Mysterio resides in Doomstadt; defeating him grants you the Stealth Medallion and the Sovereign Shotgun.
Absolute Doom Battle Pass
In Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4, players will need to spend 950 V Bucks to acquire the Battle Pass. By playing and progressing through this pass, they can potentially earn up to 1,500 V Bucks. Players can accumulate experience points not only in Battle Royale, but also in Creator-Made Islands, LEGO Fortnite, Rocket Racing, Fortnite Festival, and other modes.
