Fresh information about potential characters for the upcoming game “Dragon Ball: Ignition Zero,” which is based on the late Buu Saga from Dragon Ball Z, has been revealed. With its release date of October 8 fast approaching, Bandai Namco has been gradually revealing the extensive lineup of playable heroes and villains from the Dragon Ball series through various gameplay trailers.
A common observation among fans is that the character reveal trailers for Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero seem to align with the different story arcs from Dragon Ball Z. The trailer released in late July, for instance, was themed around the Namek and Frieza Sagas, showcasing numerous minions of the intergalactic tyrant, as well as alternate transformations. Earlier this month, another trailer focused on the Android and Cell Sagas, offering a sneak peek at Dr. Gero’s Androids, Cell’s fearsome forms, and the mighty Super Saiyan 2 transformation that Gohan utilizes to eliminate the threat permanently.
If the pattern remains consistent, it’s plausible that the next “Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero” trailer might focus on the Buu Saga, a climactic arc from “Dragon Ball Z” where the world is endangered by Majin Buu. As a devoted fan, I’ve noticed some thrilling revelations in the latest scans! Super Buu has been shown to adopt not one, but two incredible fusion forms: Buutenks (the outcome of Super Saiyan 3 Gotenks being absorbed) and Buuhan (obtained by consuming Ultimate Gohan). Not to mention, even his smaller Kid Buu form is seen unleashing the terrifying Genocide Blast. Many of these transformations were playable in previous Dragon Ball: Budokai Tenkaichi games, along with other notable characters from the Buu Saga like Majin Vegeta.
Other Twitter users are suggesting that the trailer revealing the supposed characters from the leaked “Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero” game could be unveiled during the Gamescom 2024 event coming up in a week. As of now, “Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero” features 130 playable characters, including major figures like Majin Buu’s base form and several Super Saiyan transformations that emerged towards the end of “Dragon Ball Z”.
