Players who take pleasure in their Pathfinder gaming might find appeal in a classic spell-casting Bard role, embodied by the Flickering Flame Bard. This character offers not only the ability to cast low-level Cantrips as extra utilities, but also boasts a wide range of innate proficiencies that make them adaptable in any battle scenario. Their Inspire abilities can provide progressively stronger bonuses for Saving Throws and Hit Dice, making them fairly effective support characters. The enchantments Fascinate and Deadly Performance offer either a temporary incapacitation or an immediate kill, providing the Bard with ample versatility in their toolkit.

As a seasoned gamer with years of experience under my belt, I must say that the Flame Dancer 20 build for the Bard is one of the most intriguing and versatile builds I have encountered in recent times. Being a long-time fan of fantasy games, I appreciate the thematic allure of summer’s flames and how this build seamlessly incorporates it into gameplay.

  • Armor Focus: Heavy Armor
  • Diehard
  • Intimidating Prowess

  • Toughness

A straightforward melee domination build can always get the job done in a player’s Pathfinder gameplay, especially from the perspective of the aggressive gameplay of Power in Madness. This Mad Dog Barbarian build relies heavily on players gaining the upper hand through sheer toughness and resilience. Unlike traditional Barbarians, this build’s Mad Dog 20 focus also grants players access to an Animal Companion, effectively transforming them into tanky Druids minus the hassle of resource management.

The Mad Dog-Animal Companion tandem works with the Barbarian tanking threats while their pet takes charge of DPS. As a Mad Dog, the Barbarian can form combos involving Abilities such as Ferocious Trip and Ferocious Fetch, Pack Tactics, and Throat Cutter. This principle is translated into a party setting, with the Mad Dog’s sheer ferocity taking control of bosses while the rest pick off mobs and focus on dealing damage.

In the game Wrath of the Righteous, unlike the conventional Warpriest who focuses on both tanking and support roles, this Proclaimer Shield version leans more towards the defensive aspects of the Warpriest character. By reducing its buffing functions, it instead fortifies the tank’s defenses. This character can customize their array of support spells based on their chosen deity and the team requirements. Their blessings also expand their supportive abilities, with Sacred Weapon amplifying their combat prowess.

As a gamer, I find my true element in the roles of Cleanser of Evil and Zone Sanctifier. The Proclaimer Shield comes alive when engaged in close combat with enemies, blasting them away at melee range with the Cleanser’s powerful abilities. Furthermore, transforming into a Zone of Sanctification not only keeps me safe from approaching foes but also provides valuable protection for our fragile spellcasters against melee attacks.

In the world of Dungeons & Dragons, the Sorcerer class is well-known for its kit that mirrors the Wizard’s in terms of adaptability. The gameplay of “Wrath of the Righteous” showcases stronger spells at the cost of a smaller selection compared to the extensive collection offered to their scholarly counterparts. Notably, in the Pathfinder RPG, there’s an archetype of the Sorcerer called the Empyreal Sorcerer, who leans more on intuition than personality to boost their spells. This makes them a Wisdom-oriented character. The Empyreal All-Around build emphasizes the versatility of the Empyreal Sorcerer, as they can function like a Paladin with a more evenly distributed set of protective spells.

By concentrating on the Empyreal Sorcerer level 20, players gain access to a variety of skills that make them versatile for most combat situations. Early in the game, they can utilize defensive abilities like Bless, Celestial Resistances, Resist Energy, Protection from Energy, and Remove Curse, which can position them as sub-support characters while allowing healers to handle the main healing tasks. Furthermore, their damaging skills such as Heavenly Fire (which also heals allies), Flamestrike, and Sunburst offer valuable combat options.

Individuals seeking an exhilarating twist in their “Wrath of Righteous” gameplay might contemplate creating a Slayer character, particularly if they aspire to embody a fantasy undercover agent archetype. Known for meticulously studying targets prior to neutralizing them, the Slayer is designed to outmaneuver and overpower opponents regardless of their strategy. By adopting this “Deliverer Assassin” build, players transition from the stereotypical stealthy Rogue role and move into the proactive realm of the Deliverer, a relentless assassin driven to advance their deity’s objectives by any means necessary.

In this streamlined Build of Deliverer 20, it maximizes the Slayer’s inherent specializations, particularly the boosted attack benefits from Studied Target and its social equivalent through Quarry. Yet, what sets this Deliverer apart is its divine association, which infuses a divine touch into their stealthy combat strategies. Furthermore, Determined Zeal and Divine Anathema provide additional advantages when confronting adversaries whose alignments differ from the player by at least two steps.

In contrast to Dungeons & Dragons, where the Fighter can access magic-infused archery and swordsmanship through the Arcane Archer and Eldritch Knight archetypes, respectively, the Classes in Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous adopt a more intricate strategy. Those aiming to optimize their magical effectiveness across various combat scenarios would thrive with the Eldritch Domination build.

As a game enthusiast, I’ve chosen a unique blend: Eldritch Archer 10 followed by Eldritch Knight 10. This hybrid character leverages the ranged prowess of the Magus Class, first specializing in the Eldritch Archer sub-class, then advancing to Eldritch Knight as an additional class. This setup allows me to adapt to various weapon configurations and engage enemies from a distance with a bow, followed by close combat using a longsword. Aiming for a DEX 19 and INT 18 will grant me the ability to cast spells as a secondary role, effectively turning me into a versatile character who can handle diverse situations.

Enthusiasts of the self-righteous may find themselves spotlighted within the gameplay of “Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous,” particularly if they decide to try out the Zen Inquisitor build. This playstyle combines the spiritually empowered marksmanship of the Zen Archer with the unyielding pursuit of the Faith Hunter, resulting in a character build that is primarily a Zen Archer (3 levels) and a Faith Hunter (17 levels).

When constructed correctly, this design is ideal for long-range archery, ensuring players stay safe while offering ample opportunities for close combat damage. In critical situations, players can rely on Flurry of Blows, Smite, Judgment, and Bane. Similarly, a selection of Divine Spells will empower Pathfinder players to safeguard their allies from a distance as well.

In the thrilling world of Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous, I find myself embracing a more combative approach as a devoted follower. This strategy, aptly named the “Aggressive Faithshooter,” is particularly appealing due to its roots in the Zen Archer class and the mighty Warpriest. By delving into the role of the Cult Leader, I’m essentially blending a Zen Archer 4/Cult Leader 16 build.

Proper usage of the Aggressive Faithshooter allows for divine abilities, enhancing allies and weakening foes at minimal risk. Meanwhile, the early game of the Zen Archer offers powerful long-range feats. However, as the Cult Leader progresses, players gain access to a variety of divine spells that will leave enemies wishing they hadn’t approached the Aggressive Faithshooter in melee combat.

Lovers of the Dungones & Dragons game, who appreciate over-the-top D&D character builds, are well aware of the potential power of the Rogue, particularly when mastering stealth as a primary skill. Similarly, enthusiasts of the Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous game can achieve comparable results with the Rogue, but this time through the Rowdy Sub-Class. When constructing a complete Rowdy Rogue at level 20, players might be amazed to find that the subtle trap-detection and agile movement of this seemingly modest Rogue can actually support some of the most potent playstyles within the game.

As a devoted fan, I’ve come to appreciate the true potential of the Straightforward Thieving build, which truly excels in the later stages of play. The moment my Rowdy Rogue unlocks Greater Vital Strike, it becomes a game-changer, often dealing a lethal blow to most adversaries. Regardless of the path I choose, growing with the Straightforward Thieving build offers me astonishingly high damage output from early levels, particularly when I prioritize Sneak Attacks.

Just like the Barbarian character in Dungeons & Dragons, a Bloodrager from Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous can also harness their intense emotions into a powerful altered state. What sets Bloodragers apart in the Pathfinder game is that they tap into unique abilities tied to their bloodline through their anger. An effective playstyle for a Bloodrager could be the Primalist, an Archetype that draws upon ancient traditions and channels the Bloodrager’s rage into something more disciplined and polished.

In simple terms, this “Ancient Rage” build offers the “Primalist 20” playstyle a decent amount of durability to outlive most enemies while maintaining enough power to safeguard the team. This build is ideal for a tank in the frontline as it’s not overly complex but still provides various combat strategies to adapt to diverse scenarios.

In the game Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous, it’s logical for the character class, the Zen Archer, to have an archetype that players can explore. As a long-range specialist, the Zen Archer leverages numerous ranged attack options, thereby enhancing their role as the go-to marksman in any group. With the Meditative Sharpshooting build, players can convert a level 20 Zen Archer into a formidable long-range combatant who can shield the team effectively from a distance.

Fundamentally, the Meditative Sharpshooting technique leverages the numerous perks of the Zen Archer class, particularly when focusing on a straight build of this class. Although the Zen Archer can adapt to various classes to gain an edge in ranged combat, exploiting its full potential eventually grants players substantial defensive bonuses that make them remarkably resilient, even in close-combat situations. This strategy optimizes the Zen Archer’s overall ranged damage output while retaining formidable unarmed striking abilities for melee encounters as well.

In Pathfinder: Path of the Righteous, the character Nomad behaves like the Monk Class from Dungeons & Dragons, and the Sohei transforms into a horseback-riding variant of the D&D Fighter. This setup is intriguing for role-playing game enthusiasts who wonder about the potential of these two classes in a ranged build. This concept is clearly demonstrated in Mounted Solitude, where the multiple weapon specializations of both the Nomad and Sohei are merged into a Nomad 2/Sohei 18 configuration. Not only does this setup offer players chances for long-range combat, but it allows them to engage in such combat while riding a mount as well.

As a gamer, I’ve found that the heart of this character setup lies in securing STR 16 and DEX 18 as swiftly as possible. This not only broadens my combat options but also opens up more versatile roles on the battlefield. Essentially, Mounted Solitude is all about smoothly transitioning between close-quarters melee and ranged encounters. In a single turn, I can squeeze in at least eight attacks with Flurry of Blows, Rapid Shot, and Manyshot, making for one heck of a formidable combatant!

Thanks to the additional content from “A Dance of Masks” DLC, players can now select the ruthless Mantis Zealot as a subclass for their Warpriest character. This character embodies a devotee of Achaekek, the primary deity of assassins. In the gameplay of “Wrath of the Righteous”, choosing the Mantis Assassin build empowers your Warpriest to harness the deadly skills reminiscent of the Red Mantis order. The character’s equipment revolves around the Sawtooth Saber weapon type, for which players receive a Weapon Focus and progressing Weapon Specialization Feats. Equipped with Sawtooth Sabers, your Warpriest has the ability to deal damage comparable to a Longsword, while bypassing even two-handed weapons when fully optimized.

The remaining equipment of the Mantis Assassin is designed for maximum damage with minimal risk. The Red Shroud fortifies their evasion defenses, and Deadly Fascination causes an aura that could stun enemies near a creature killed by the Mantis Assassin. At higher levels, Fading allows the Mantis Assassin to take on a near-ethereal form, enhancing their agility to dodge attacks. If crafted as a Human, additional abilities can make the Mantis Assassin a formidable melee force. With Weapon Finesse, they can leverage DEX instead of STR to amplify their strikes. The rest of this setup primarily focuses on either increasing overall damage and frequent dodging.

  • Skilled Kineticist

In addition to the Mantis Zealot, the Kinetic Sharpshooter is also introduced with the “A Dance of Masks” DLC. These characters specialize in harnessing elements through their ranged weapons and further enhance the Kineticist’s powerful arsenal with Longbow advantages. The Kinetic Quiver feature enables them to attack immediately without needing to gather power, provided they have charged ammunition. This early acquisition of Spell Penetration and Weapon Focus is expected to make it easier for players to hit their targets, particularly when their Energy Blasts need to overcome an enemy’s spell resistance. Air’s Reach ability helps compensate for a lack of extended range, complementing the other aspects of this kit.

A Kinetic Sniper truly excels when they amplify their critical hits using abilities like Critical Focus, Flaying Critical, and Improved Critical. This enhancement makes their Kinetic Blast skill trigger critical hits more often, dealing greater damage. As they acquire infusions, Spindle and Cyclone become useful in specific scenarios, while Rending Arrows serves as a useful tool for reducing an enemy’s armor class (AC). However, the most significant advantage comes from Chain Arrows at higher levels, enabling them to strike up to eight enemies simultaneously.

In the game ‘Wrath of the Righteous’, the Weretouched Beast stands out among the top classes for its incredible destructive power in its Major Lycanthropic Form. A key feature of the Weretouched Beast is enhancing the frequency and force of their attacks, particularly Bite attacks, as it enables them to attempt to knock down nearby enemies with a Free Action. Equipped with the Mask of the Rapid Bites, the Weretouched Beast gains an additional Bite attack once the initial one connects – providing more opportunities for knockdowns.

Thanks to Shifter’s Fury, Great Cleave, and Cleaving Finish abilities, players can deal massive damage even when they reach level 16. To give their character an additional edge, consider multiclassing into a Fighter – Mutation Warrior. Although you won’t receive Weapon Training as a Mutation Warrior, the final levels can be utilized to upgrade your Bite (Weapon Focus, Weapon Specialization) and gain extra defensive abilities through Combat Reflexes and Dodge.

As a seasoned Dungeons & Dragons player with over two decades of experience under my belt, I find the Drunken Master archetype to be one of the most intriguing and entertaining character builds I’ve encountered in recent years. Having played various editions of the game, I can confidently say that this build truly stands out due to its unique blend of combat effectiveness and role-playing opportunities.

As a fan, I’d love to share my strategy for crafting a nimble Hasty Halfling Pickpocket character that can significantly boost the Drunken Master’s initiative, enabling them to charge swiftly into battles. By employing Weapon Finesse, they can leverage their DEX instead of STR for attack power. To further enhance their combat agility, Crane Style offers improved dodge ability and reduced penalties when fighting defensively.
