Paradox Development Studio has just launched its first major update for Europa Universalis V, fixing over 350 bugs. This update aims to improve the game and give players a better experience. Europa Universalis V is the newest installment in Paradox’s popular grand strategy series, continuing the legacy of Europa Universalis IV, which received ten years of support after its release.
Europa Universalis 5 is a large-scale strategy game based on historical events, letting players experience 500 years of world history. It quickly became a best-seller on Steam after launching on November 4th, briefly surpassing the popular game Arc Raiders in sales. Currently, it has a score of 87 on OpenCritic and a “Very Positive” rating on Steam. Because so many new players are trying the game—and perhaps the Europa Universalis series for the first time—the developers at Paradox have already released an update to fix bugs and improve the overall experience.
Europa Universalis 5 Releases 1.0.2 Patch Notes
Paradox Forum recently received the first public patch notes from Community Manager Ryagi for the 1.0.2 update to Europa Universalis 5. This update focuses on fixing over 350 bugs discovered in the game, and that number doesn’t even include corrections to translation errors. Players aiming to unlock achievements should find it easier to do so now, as several achievement triggers have been fixed. The developers also improved the game’s economy, resolving issues like rice being incorrectly used in fruit wineries.
Paradox has addressed several issues in Europa Universalis V. For example, they fixed a bug that stopped naval nations from collapsing after losing all their ships – something land-based nations could already do. They also corrected a problem with royal marriages, ensuring they end when one of the spouses dies. These are just a few of the changes; the complete list of updates is available below.
Players can look forward to continued updates fixing bugs and improving gameplay in Europa Universalis 5 over the next several months. Paradox has also announced plans for three major DLC packs. These expansions will come in two types – Immersion Packs and Chronicle Packs – offering different amounts of new content. While specific details are still limited, more information about the DLC will be revealed soon. With plenty to experience already and even more on the horizon, fans are excited about the game’s future.
