Right after Battlefield 6 came out, we discovered this crazy thing – if you hit a teammate’s recon drone with the sledgehammer, you could actually ride it! It quickly went from there – people figured out how to use the glitch to get to all sorts of places you’re not supposed to, like rooftops and bridges. Battlefield 6’s Drone Rooftop Exploit is Finally Getting a Fix

Great news for Battlefield 6 players! Lead producer David Sirland recently announced on X that the issue causing problems with the recon drone has been resolved. The fix will be included in the next game update, though the exact release date is still unknown. While it’s unclear exactly what was changed – whether it’s the drone’s physics or restrictions on where it can fly – this means the days of players camping on rooftops are likely numbered.

This update fixes one of the most frustrating glitches in Battlefield 6. The developers at Battlefield Studios have been consistently working to resolve issues like these since the game launched. Recently, they disabled the problematic IFV Lock-Guided Missile, which was almost guaranteed to hit its target even when players used defenses. These improvements are making Battlefield 6 a better game overall.

Aside from improvements and fixes, there’s a lot to look forward to in Battlefield 6. Season 1 is now happening, starting with the Rogue Ops content. On November 18th, the California Resistance update will arrive, introducing the Eastwood map and Sabotage game mode. Finally, the Winter Offensive phase will launch on December 9th, and even more content is planned for release throughout next year.
