As a seasoned gamer with countless hours under my belt in the vast and chaotic universe of Borderlands, I can confidently say that Sacked is one mission that has left me scratching my head more times than I’d care to remember. This side quest, nestled deep within the Jakobs Estate on Eden-6, is a refreshing change from the usual shoot-and-loot routine, but it does come with its fair share of puzzles that can feel a tad frustrating at times.
In the game Borderlands 3, one of the rare side missions, titled Sacked, often catches players unawares. Unlike most missions which are straightforward, Sacked requires some problem-solving, making it a challenging puzzle that can feel like an unnecessary hindrance, disrupting the fast-paced action of the game. Rather than charging ahead and shooting everything in sight, you’re forced to slow down, hunt for subtle clues that aren’t always easy to spot within BL3.
Where’s the Clue in Borderlands 3’s Sacked Mission?
As a fan exploring the enigmatic Jakobs Estate on Eden-6, I find myself drawn to the manor’s interior. Upon close examination of a marked closet within, I uncover the chilling sight of the butler’s lifeless body. This intriguing side quest begins with retrieving clues hidden within the manor by picking up the task from the unfortunate servant’s remains. My initial objective then becomes to thoroughly search for any hints that may shed light on this mysterious case.
In the game “Borderlands 3”, the character Sacked demands that you have reached level 21 before you can engage with them. If there is no exclamation mark over their icon, it suggests either your character is not yet ready or there might be a glitch in the game. Attempting to restart the game could resolve the issue if it’s due to an error.
As you stand with your back to the closet, turn to your left to enter the living room. Your goal here is a golden statue on a wooden base beside a locked Jakobs chest. To discover the clue, interact with the statue by touching it. The statue will rotate and then explode. After the smoke dissipates, look for a green button on the stand where the statue once stood. Press the button to receive the clue and progress the Sacked storyline in Borderlands 3.
In my adventure through the manor, I’ll soon come across my next challenge: locating and shattering three distinctive red statues, which are different from the first one I encountered. Finding these vibrant sculptures in BL3 shouldn’t be too tough a task!

- The third bust is left of the closet that was hiding the corpse.
After removing the statues, go back to uncover the secrets within Jacob’s chest, which contains a recording that offers additional details about Aurelia Jakobs‘s fate. Your subsequent tasks will guide your investigation to the servant quarters, cellar, grotto, and ultimately, into tunnels buried beneath Jacob’s Estate. Each location will have evident clues waiting to be discovered, though the first one may prove challenging.
