Xbox is Trying to Re-License Deadpool and Marvel Ultimate Alliance, It’s Claimed

As a dedicated gamer with decades of experience under my belt, I can’t help but feel a twinge of excitement at the prospect of Xbox potentially re-licensing Deadpool and Marvel Ultimate Alliance. These games were part of my childhood gaming years, and it would be a dream come true to play them again on modern consoles.

It’s been suggested that Xbox is currently making efforts to reacquire the rights for Deadpool and Marvel Ultimate Alliance.

According to a recent discussion on The XboxEra Podcast with Shpeshal Nick, there are rumors that Microsoft is currently working on re-obtaining the licenses for the Xbox One versions of Deadpool and Marvel Ultimate Alliance. If successful, these games may be released on PC and next-gen Xbox Series X/S platforms.

In 2013, Activision launched Deadpool for gaming consoles like Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3, and PS4. However, in 2014, when the publisher’s Marvel license expired, these games were taken down from the market. The same fate befell Marvel Ultimate Alliance. Consequently, numerous gamers have missed out on playing these titles. Purchasing a physical copy isn’t always convenient due to high prices after they vanish from digital platforms.

Regardless, this is just a rumour, and we will have to wait for an official announcement from Xbox to know for sure. Fortnite is the way to go if you want to play a game featuring Deadpool or other Marvel characters right now. The battle royale title recently released a bundle featuring comic-accurate outfits and accessories for Deadpool and Wolverine. Additionally, Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4 marks the return of the Marvel season, with Dr. Doom taking over the entire island. Check out everything new in the latest season.
