Black Myth: Wukong | Buddha’s Eyeball puzzle guide

As a seasoned gamer with countless hours clocked in various realms, I can confidently say that Black Myth: Wukong has me hooked! The Heart of Stone quest in Chapter 2 had me scratching my head for a bit, but once I figured out the Buddha’s Eyeball puzzle, I was rewarded with the formidable Cloud-Patterned Stone Staff.

In Chapter 2 of Black Myth: Wukong, you’ll arrive at a barren desert filled with novel adversaries and bosses. Many of these enemies are stone-based, one of which is a secret boss that grants valuable crafting materials for enhancing a formidable staff upgrade – the Cloud-Patterned Stone Staff. However, to battle this secret boss, you’ll first have to gather around six Buddha’s Eyes. Here’s how to conquer the Buddha’s Eyeball puzzle in Black Myth: Wukong and craft the Cloud-Patterned Stone Staff.

Find the Buddha’s Eyes

In your journey through Chapter 2, you’ll encounter statue heads with radiant yellow eyes. They are often easily spotted and not particularly difficult to locate. Simply engaging with them will grant you the Buddha’s Eyeball key item. You’ll require all six of these for the following stage.

After obtaining them, make your way across the area until you encounter the boss fight against the Stone Vanguard. Upon entering, notice a massive stone sculpture of heads on the left side; avoid it for now! Initially, defeat the Stone Vanguard, take a break at a Keeper’s Shrine and return to this spot later. Now, engage with the stone structure to rouse Shigandang, a formidable hidden boss.

Beating Shigandang

Shigandang is an enormous rock creature that has surprising speed and excels in devastating area-of-effect assaults. Keep an eye out for its primary attacks: a ground slam that generates massive, luminescent fissures on the floor, causing significant harm and knocking you off your feet if you’re not careful; and a backward dive if you linger too long behind him. This move causes spikes to erupt from the ground in a wide circle around where he lands, potentially sending you tumbling.

He’s particularly resistant to fire, making the Red Tides spell ineffective against him in terms of additional damage. However, Immobilize remains a reliable option. Maintain a safe distance and only attack when he initiates large attacks, then retaliate. When you defeat him, he’ll yield several items, with the Heart of Stone being particularly valuable at this point.

What to do with the Heart of Stone

Navigate to the Keeper’s Shrine and locate the Craft Weapons section. There, you will find an opportunity to create a brand-new staff – the Cloud-Patterned Stone Staff. This potent weapon significantly enhances your melee damage to 60 points and adds 30 to your defense. Its distinctive feature is that it moderately amplifies the damage inflicted by Charged Heavy Smash Attacks, making it an excellent choice for those who favor the Pillar Stance, as it offers a substantial boost to their attacks.

To craft it, you’ll need the following:

1x Heart of Stone
4x Yaoguai Cores
8x Stone Spirit
8100x Will

Well, I’ve spent countless hours delving into the mystical world of Black Myth: Wukong, and I must say, the Buddha’s Eyeball puzzle has been quite a challenge! But fear not, my fellow adventurer, for here’s how I managed to crack it and unlock the Cloud-Patterned Stone Staff.
