As a seasoned gamer with decades worth of experience under my belt, I must say that the announcement of Mafia: The Old Country at Gamescom Opening Night Live has got me all fired up! Ever since my days playing the original Mafia back in the early 2000s, I’ve been hooked on this gritty mob story. Now, we’re finally getting to delve deeper into its origins and explore the brutal underworld of 1900s Sicily.

On Tuesday night during the closing moments of Gamescom Opening Night Live, 2K concluded the event by revealing their upcoming game titled Mafia: The Old Country.

As a gaming enthusiast, I’m excitedly counting down the days to 2025 when I’ll get my hands on the game that’s being developed using Unreal Engine 5. We’re promised a sneak peek of its features this December, so keep your eyes peeled for more details!

For a while, there have been rumors circulating about the creation of “Mafia: The Old Country”. Interestingly, neither Take-Two Interactive nor 2K have made any formal announcements regarding this project.
