Arc Raiders Community Event Made Harder After Record Player Donations

Embark Studios had to make the first community challenge in Arc Raiders more difficult after players quickly surpassed the donation goal. The arrival of the first planned content update for Arc Raiders has generated a lot of excitement, and players have been eager to complete the initial event as fast as possible.

Following a successful release, Arc Raiders launched its North Line update, adding the first new content to the game. Instead of immediately making everything available, the developers at Embark Studios asked players to work together and donate resources to clear a tunnel and unlock access to Stella Montis. Players are excited about this new location, which offers unique environments and rewards, as well as two new enemy types – the Matriarch and the Shredder – to challenge them. The community’s enthusiasm has been so strong that Embark Studios has made an unexpected adjustment.

Arc Raiders Stella Montis Event Gets More Challenging

It appears Embark was surprised by how quickly the player community progressed through the recent event. They had to adjust things to prevent players from unlocking the new Stella Montis map too soon. In a message on Discord, Embark’s community manager, Ossen, explained that player progress was much faster than they predicted. To give everyone a chance to enjoy the event, they’ve increased the requirements for unlocking the map. However, with so many players in Arc Raiders, it likely won’t take long to reach the new goal.

Since the recent announcement, players have noticed the community progress bar moving forward, and luckily, the resources needed are common items found throughout the game. Players can track the overall progress and contribute by donating materials like fabric, plastic, metal, rubber, and chemicals through the in-game live event section. As a reward, players earn Merits, a new currency that will unlock future content, likely related to the next stage of unlocking the game. While there’s a limit to how many Merits can be earned, players are still welcome to donate extra materials.

Embark, the team behind Arc Raiders, has been good at listening to its players. When the community strongly requested a Duos mode, Embark added it in a recent update. They also lowered the prices of cosmetic items in the game’s shop and even gave refunds to players who had already purchased them at the higher price. Eligible players should see an updated amount of Raider Tokens reflecting the refund.
