Red Dead Redemption Coming to PlayStation Plus Next Month

Starting December 2, 2025, PlayStation Plus members will be able to play Red Dead Redemption as part of the Game Catalog.

The recent buzz around Red Dead Redemption started with ratings appearing for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2. Following that, it was revealed the game would be available on iOS and Android through Netflix. Now, it’s been announced that PlayStation Plus subscribers will also get access.

Red Dead Redemption Will be Playable through PlayStation Plus Game Catalog

Starting next month, PlayStation Plus members will be able to play Red Dead Redemption through the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog. Subscribers to GTA+ will also get free access as part of their Games Library. These updated versions of the game were developed with help from Double Eleven and Cast Iron Games.

Rockstar surprised players with a big announcement: starting December 2nd, those on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S will enjoy a significantly improved version of the game with better graphics and speed. The next Nintendo Switch is also getting a boost, and for the first time, players on iOS and Android devices will be able to play too.

If you’re new to the series, Red Dead Redemption’s story follows on from the popular Red Dead Redemption 2. The main game lets you play as John Marston as he tries to leave his violent past behind. You can also experience the “Undead Nightmare” expansion, where you battle zombies and search for a cure to a plague that’s overrun the game’s world.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is now the fourth highest-selling video game of all time! Despite some concerns about its development costs and timeline, the game has been a huge success.
