Arena Breakout: Infinite Devs Talk Console Release, Anti-Cheat, and Microtransactions

As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of gaming under my belt and a wallet that’s taken more hits than a punching bag at a boxing gym, I must say I’m intrigued by Arena Breakout: Infinite. The team seems to be addressing some valid concerns about the game’s monetization model, which is a breath of fresh air in today’s gaming landscape where ‘pay-to-win’ models are becoming increasingly common.

Arena Breakout: Infinite’s development team recently discussed a variety of aspects regarding the game during Gamescom, sharing insights only with the media about forthcoming modifications and added elements. They delved deeply into the full launch of the game, tentatively scheduled for later this year, and even acknowledged some recent debates, like the game’s ‘pay-to-win’ structure.

Prepare to Breakout

Game Arena Breakout: Infinite has entered early access, and some players have already pointed out problems with its business structure. For example, concerns have been raised about MoreFun allegedly implementing a “pay-to-win” system by concealing specific items behind paywalls. However, this was a major focus of the Gamescom team’s efforts to address these issues.

As a fervent admirer of MoreFun Studios, I’m thrilled to share that Enzo Zhang, their esteemed leader, has revealed exciting news about our favorite game. He assured us that all microtransactions will be cosmetically-oriented, and a battle pass system is on the horizon! This means we can enjoy everything the game has to offer without any hassle. Plus, since the game isn’t inherently ‘grindy’, it should be a breeze for us to unlock these rewards. Can’t wait to see what they have in store for us next!

Users can of course buy in-game currency, but the team is stressing that the game isn’t pay-to-win.

Moving onto related subjects, MoreFun clarified they’re planning a console version of the game. However, while the gameplay will remain consistent, this standalone release won’t support crossplay functionality. In simpler terms, console gamers won’t be able to play together with PC users.

Although the team is developing advanced AI systems, they currently have no intention of adding a Player vs Environment (PvE) or offline gameplay mode to the platform.

In other areas, MoreFun is actively enhancing community interaction. They’re launching a ‘sponsor-a-streamer’ initiative, which includes streamer merchandise, unique streamer codes, and a creator program to aid those who wish to share their gameplay on platforms such as Twitch and YouTube.

By the year’s end, the game Arena Breakout: Infinite will introduce a fresh map (TV Station), additional weapon options, diverse game modes, and its debut female operator. Simultaneously, the development team is diligently focusing on robust anti-cheat measures, developing automated solutions, refining manual mechanisms, and enhancing encryption to ensure fair gameplay.

In the end, Arena Breakout: Infinite has a fantastic blueprint ready, promising to revolutionize the extraction shooter category fearlessly. As the developers mentioned, it’s created with every gamer in mind, ensuring players can join and leave at their convenience without worrying about penalties for taking breaks from the game.
