As a long-time fan who has spent countless hours racing through the Mushroom Kingdom with Mario and his pals, I can hardly contain my excitement for the upcoming LEGO Mario Kart sets! The collaboration between LEGO and Nintendo never fails to impress, and these new sets are no exception. From the iconic characters like Donkey Kong and Baby Mario to the popular vehicles and power-ups, each set promises an immersive building experience that will bring my favorite video game memories to life in a whole new way.

In 2025, LEGO is set to release six exciting sets based on the popular game, Mario Kart. These sets will include miniature brick versions of beloved Nintendo characters such as Donkey Kong and Baby Mario. LEGO and Nintendo first collaborated in 2020, resulting in a massive success for both parties. Since then, they have expanded their partnership with numerous add-ons for the LEGO Super Mario board game, a line of LEGO Animal Crossing sets, and a special Legend of Zelda set that showcases iconic figures like the Great Deku Tree from Ocarina of Time and Breath of the Wild.

Nintendo is well-known for its popular and beloved game franchises, making many fans excited to see future collaborations with LEGO. Earlier in the year, on Mario Day, Nintendo and LEGO officially announced a “LEGO Super Mario Kart” set. At that time, only a few details were given about this set, such as it being released in 2025 – which marks the fifth anniversary of the “LEGO Super Mario” line that laid the groundwork for this exhilarating crossover project.

As a gaming enthusiast, I’m super excited about the latest details unveiled by Nintendo and LEGO on the upcoming LEGO Mario Kart collection, according to IGN. This vibrant line-up of six LEGO sets is inspired by the beloved Mario Kart games, showcasing iconic characters, vehicles, and power-ups at different price points. In their announcement, LEGO hinted that this new Mario Kart line will spark our creativity as we can transform ordinary surfaces into epic Mario Kart tracks!

LEGO Mario Kart 2025 Set List

  • Yoshi Bike – $14.99 (133 pieces)
  • Standard Kart – $19.99 (174 pieces)
  • Donkey Kong and DK Jumbo -$34.99 (387 pieces)
  • Baby Mario versus Baby Luigi – $29.99 (390 pieces)
  • Toad’s Garage – $39.99 (390 pieces)

The star attraction of the LEGO Mario Kart collection is the Standard Kart pack, which includes a traditional red kart like Mario’s, along with a Toad mechanic, though no driver comes included. You can enhance your play experience by placing a figure from the LEGO Super Mario series in the driver’s seat instead. On the other hand, the Yoshi Bike set features Yoshi’s green motorbike from Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and a blue Yoshi to ride it. The Donkey Kong and DK Jumbo pack contain everyone’s favorite gorilla and his reliable barrel kart, while the Baby Mario vs. Baby Luigi set introduces the baby versions of these famous characters, each with their own mini-karts.

Next up is the LEGO Mario Kart set from Toad’s Garage. This set includes a couple of mushroom workers and a high-speed kart themed after Toad for any character to hop aboard. Lastly, the Baby Peach & Grand Prix set is the largest and priciest in the collection. It comes with a buildable starting gate, miniature figures of characters like Lakitu (the referee from Mario Kart), Baby Peach, Toad, Lemmy Koopa from the Koopalings, their vehicles, and numerous Item Boxes and power-ups. The new LEGO Mario Kart sets are scheduled for release on January 1, 2025.
