Jackbox Naughty Pack Preview: Mature Immaturity at Its Finest

Highlights

  • Jackbox Naughty Pack offers adult-themed versions of popular games like Drawful and Fakin’ It.
  • Let Me Finish, the new mini-game in the Jackbox Naughty Pack, encourages players to get creative with naughty prompts.
  • Although it doesn’t seem as consistently naughty as one might expect, Jackbox Naughty Pack is still the most mature game from Jackbox Games.

As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of experience under my belt, I have to admit that Jackbox Games has always been a staple in my party game arsenal. Their Party Packs have provided countless hours of laughter and camaraderie among friends and family, often leading to conversations we never thought we’d have! So when I heard about the upcoming Jackbox Naughty Pack, I was intrigued, to say the least.

Jackbox Games has established itself as a top choice for party games, thanks to its widely beloved “Jackbox Party Packs” gaining more popularity over the past ten years. These packs offer families and social circles an enjoyable evening filled with laughter, friendly competition, and unexpected discussions. Now, Jackbox Games is gearing up to release its M-rated “Party Pack,” called the “Jackbox Naughty Pack.” This new pack includes mature adaptations of two well-known games and a freshly developed game exclusively for the “Naughty Pack.”

The Jackbox Party Packs usually allow players and spectators to choose the level of maturity, but the Jackbox Naughty Pack deliberately incorporates mature humor into every game, eliminating that option. Game Rant recently got a sneak peek at the Jackbox Naughty Pack during a digital preview, where we witnessed its three mini-games in full swing: Fakin’ It All Night Long, Dirty Drawful, and Let Me Finish.

The Jackbox Naughty Pack’s Mature Iterations of Its Two Familiar Mini-Games

The Jackbox Naughty Pack comprises adult-oriented versions of two popular games from the Jackbox Party Pack series, formerly known as Drawful and Fakin’ It, now rebranded in this pack as Dirty Drawful and Fakin’ It All Night Long. In essence, these new titles are just adult-focused versions of their original counterparts, adhering to the same gameplay rules. The primary modification lies in the significantly more mature prompts used, which in turn elicit similar responses from players and spectators alike.

Dirty Drawful Spices Up the Rules of Drawful for Mature Audiences

In the game Dirty Drawful, participants receive suggestive prompts which they then attempt to illustrate creatively. After everyone’s drawings are done, players get a chance to come up with titles for each other’s artwork. Next, they try to guess which title corresponds to the actual one, and if they correctly select another player’s title, that player earns points. The prompts in Dirty Drawful have a subtle mature tone, allowing for varying levels of explicitness depending on the players’ interpretations and titles. A new feature added in this version is an “undo” button, which has not been included in previous versions of Drawful within the Jackbox Party Packs.

Fakin’ It All Night Long Is an Adult-Themed Version of Fakin’ It With Subtle Mature References

Just like Dirty Drawful, the adult-themed game Fakin’ It All Night Long operates under the same rules as its Party Pack version, but with a more mature theme. In Fakin’ It All Night Long, each player receives a confidential assignment, except for one, who is known as the “Imposter.” The Imposter’s task is to deceive everyone else by blending in as if they too have received a secret mission. When it’s time to act, players respond according to their assignments, and then everyone votes to try and identify the Imposter – similar to the well-known party game Mafia.

Essentially, Dirty Drawful and Fakin’ It All Night Long are essentially grown-up versions of their regular games, as they share the same gameplay mechanics.

The game “Fakin’ It All Night Long” seemed less explicit in its demonstration compared to what might be expected, as the full enjoyment appears to require that all players are familiar with each other. Moreover, while the preview didn’t show it, there could potentially be more mature or suggestive tasks than those hinted, such as “Raise your hand if you’ve ever wanted to lick someone’s head like a cat to groom them.” Despite this, it seems that this version of “Fakin’ It” is still more racy than any previously seen content.

An Overview of the Jackbox Naughty Pack’s Let Me Finish Mini-Game

In the latest addition to the Jackbox Naughty Pack, there’s a mini-game called Let Me Finish, which stands out as the naughtiest of the trio. In this game, players receive an image prompt and are tasked with drawing something on that picture based on the given instruction. For instance, if the instruction is “How does this mailbox prepare for a first date,” you can draw clothing items on the mailbox. After finishing the drawing, each player gets a brief time to explain their artwork and the thought process behind it. The aim of the game is to persuade other players to vote for your explanation, thus earning points, similar to Superfight by Skybound Games, a comical competitive game.

It’s evident why “Let Me Finish” stands out as the most risqué among the trio of mini-games, given that it was tailored specifically for the “Jackbox Naughty Pack.” The game becomes more intriguing when players start making their arguments because there are minimal restrictions. Additionally, while the images in Let Me Finish may not be explicit, the prompts can lead to rather adult scenarios. However, it’s important to note that many of these prompts could also be considered innocent, although they still fall into the adult category, making them unsuitable for anyone below the game’s maturity rating.

In the Jackbox Naughty Pack, you’ll find a fresh mini-game called “Let Me Finish,” and it turns out that this game is the most mischievous among the trio.

In summary, the Jackbox Naughty Pack may surprise some with its level of maturity rather than explicit content. This pack, which is undeniably the most mature offering from Jackbox Games to date, takes the freedom of expression in their usual Jackbox Party Packs and pushes it even further. While players have always had the option to be as adult-themed as they choose with the party packs, the intentionally provocative nature of the Jackbox Naughty Pack takes this to a whole new level. If you’re seeking a laugh-out-loud, adult-oriented event, look no further than the Jackbox Naughty Pack, set to launch on September 12, 2024.
