As a gaming enthusiast, I must say that this year’s Gamescom Opening Night Live event was nothing short of spectacular! For two hours straight, we were treated to an array of reveals, updates, and brand-new game announcements. While there were numerous smaller reveals, what truly stood out was the unexpected blockbusters, and Amazon Prime’s Secret Level was undeniably one of them.

For the initial unveiling during yesterday’s Gamescom ONL event, “Secret Level” was introduced as a new animated anthology series produced by Tim Miller’s Blur Studio, known for creating “Love, Death & Robots.” Comprising 15 episodes, this captivating show will delve into various game adaptations, with each episode focusing on a unique title. From iconic franchises like “Dungeons and Dragons” to fresh intellectual properties such as “Concord,” “Secret Level” promises to bring licenses from every nook of the gaming world to life.

Every Video Game Collaboration Confirmed for Secret Level

Armored Core

In the special episode of Amazon’s series, Secret Level, there will be a focus on the third-person shooter franchise developed by FromSoftware, Armored Core. The Armored Core franchise is noticeable in several scenes throughout the trailer for Secret Level. At the beginning of the trailer, a mech suit from the series can be seen charging across a desolate landscape. Additionally, a character piloting an Armored Core mech appears at various points throughout the trailer.

Concord

The latest original intellectual property by PlayStation, titled “Concord“, is a thrilling 5v5 multiplayer hero shooter that also features a compelling narrative. Already, weekly cinematics are planned for release, making it exciting to delve deeper into this world through the upcoming “Secret Level” episode.

Crossfire

As a dedicated gamer, I can’t hide my excitement about the upcoming appearance of the highly popular multiplayer tactical shooter, Crossfire, in Amazon’s Secret Level. Over the past decade or so, this game has become a sensation, particularly in China and South Korea. Fun fact: This isn’t Crossfire’s first foray into TV adaptations. In July 2020, a Chinese live-action series was released, but unlike the game itself, it centered around two individuals pursuing professional gaming careers instead of being an adaptation of the game itself.

Dungeons and Dragons

For decades, the pioneer in gaming, “Dungeons and Dragons,” has seen numerous adaptations. One notable modern version is the highly praised live-action series, “Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves.” Now, this iconic role-playing game is preparing for another adaptation with an episode dedicated to it on the show, “Secret Level.”

Exodus

Developed by Archetype Entertainment, the upcoming Sci-Fi action-adventure role-playing game titled Exodus doesn’t have a set release date yet. However, it has been announced that an episode dedicated to Exodus will air on the popular gaming show, Secret Level.

Honor of Kings

Originating from China and published by Tencent, the popular MOBA game “Honor of Kings” debuted back in 2015 but only had a global release a few months ago. This captivating title is also set to appear on Amazon’s exclusive gaming platform, Secret Level.

Mega Man

In the reveal trailer for the game “Secret Level”, it’s noticeable that one of Capcom’s long-standing franchises, Mega Man, makes several appearances. Despite most episodes of “Secret Level” adopting a realistic art style, the episode featuring Mega Man appears to lean more towards an anime aesthetic.

New World: Aeternum

As a passionate gamer, I’m super excited to share that the upcoming MMO RPG, “New World: Aeternum,” which hails directly from Amazon, is set to make an appearance in their animated Prime streaming series!

Pac-Man

In the unveiling trailer for “Secret Level,” Pac-Man makes a brief appearance, and his design seems to be quite lifelike. Although we can guess the main storylines of other episodes in “Secret Level,” it’s hard to predict what will happen in the one featuring Pac-Man.

PlayStation

In the thrilling conclusion to the trailer for the “Secret Level,” it appears that PlayStation has something extra up its sleeve – another installment featuring a mix of beloved characters! Unlike previous games, this time around, they’re pulling out all the stops by gathering various PlayStation heroes in one epic battle. The latest sneak peek even hints at the inclusion of Kratos from “God of War” and Jin Sakai from “Ghost of Tsushima.” As a gaming enthusiast, I can hardly wait to see what unfolds!

Sifu

2021’s fast-moving fighting game “Sifu” is set to feature an episode in the animated anthology series “Secret Level”. With its striking art style reminiscent of “John Wick”, intense action, and straightforward narrative, “Sifu” is a perfect fit for “Secret Level”.

Spelunky

One of the first indie games to achieve success, Spelunky from 2008, was a 2D platformer where players navigate through caves that are randomly generated. The small peek at the Secret Level episode suggests that this new adaptation will stay true to the game’s distinctive visual style.

The Outer Worlds 2

In 2019, Obsidian Entertainment introduced an engaging Sci-Fi action role-playing game titled “The Outer Worlds”. This game boasts impressive world-design and a witty humor that’s deeply rooted in satire, making it an appealing choice for a compact animated series. Notably, the trailer of “Secret Level” mentioned their collaboration with the upcoming sequel to “The Outer Worlds”, which was announced in 2021 and is likely still in development stages. It’s worth mentioning that another game, “Avowed”, is scheduled for release before the sequel to “The Outer Worlds”.

Unreal Tournament

Originating from the arena shooter genre back in 1999, Unreal Tournament has been absent for a decade. However, its powerful influence on the video game industry remains robust, making it an intriguing potential topic for Amazon’s Secret Level.

Warhammer 40,000

A popular tabletop wargame dating back to 1987, “Warhammer 40,000” is a renowned Science Fiction/Fantasy franchise with a rich history similar to that of “Dungeons & Dragons.” With a vast amount of Warhammer 40K lore available for reference, Amazon and Blur Studio are drawing inspiration for their “Secret Level” episode. It appears the focus will be on the series’ emblematic characters, the Space Marines.
