Call of Duty: MW3 and Warzone Season 5 Reloaded Update Patch Notes Revealed

Highlights

  • Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone have both been updated, marking the beginning of Season 5 Reloaded.
  • The new update introduces multiple new game modes, maps, operators, weapons, and more.
  • Additionally, changes are being made to the Call of Duty HQ app, something fans have been eager to see.

As someone who’s spent countless hours honing my shooting skills and strategizing for victory in the battlefields of Warzone, I can’t help but feel a sense of excitement and anticipation as I read through these updates!

9am PT on August 21 saw a significant update for both “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3” and “Warzone”. Released back in November 10, 2023, “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3” comes with an impressive file size of over 200GB, thanks to the fact that “Warzone” is required for installation. But, recent improvements in the functioning of the Call of Duty HQ app have now eliminated this issue.

In this latest update, Season 5 Reloaded has arrived, packed with fresh game modes, maps, characters, firearms, and more! Notably, this update alters the installation process of the game, as significant enhancements are being made to the Call of Duty HQ application. As for Warzone, it’s no longer a compulsory download alongside Modern Warfare 3, resulting in a substantial reduction of storage space needed for the game. Further improvements to the app’s functionality are anticipated later this year.

An update for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone was released on August 21, marking the beginning of Season 5 Reloaded and bringing tons of new content. The update introduces a final story mission for the game’s Zombies mode that rewards fans with a cinematic conclusion, and two new weapons have been added, called the Spear and Torque 35. The Spear melee weapon and the Torque 35 compound bow both require players to complete challenges introduced in the new update in order to unlock them. This season also includes the return of the fan-favorite Cyber Attack game mode, which hasn’t been seen since 2019’s Modern Warfare.

Season 5 Reloaded Brings Plenty of Fresh Content

In the Season 5 Reloaded update for “Call of Duty”, a fresh take on the Stash House map dubbed as Ink House has been introduced, offering a thrilling 6v6 experience with a cel-shaded design to evoke a comic book ambiance during combat. Fresh game modes have been integrated too, such as Fishfection – an infectious cat-and-mouse style game where slain players transform into fish, while survivors remain as cats until time runs out. Another exciting addition is the Paintball mode, featuring weapons capable of one-hit kills.

As a long-time fan of the Call of Duty series, I’ve noticed that game install sizes have been growing exponentially over the years, making it challenging for me to manage my gaming storage space effectively. However, I am thrilled to see that Activision is addressing this issue head-on by reducing the size of upcoming titles like Black Ops 6 and optimizing the UI of Call of Duty HQ.

Spear (Melee, Battle Pass)

Embrace the spirit of Sparta within you by wielding this razor-edged, serrated javelin. This combat tool extends my battle range and can be hurled at foes.

New Aftermarket Parts

JAK Deathmarch (BAL-27 Assault Rifle, Week 6 Challenges)

As a veteran soldier who has seen countless battles and witnessed the evolution of warfare, I can confidently say that this aftermarket part is a game-changer. Instead of using traditional ammo, it replaces it with high-voltage power cells and swaps out the barrel for a photonic scatter barrel. This transformation allows me to fire a deadly spread of laser blasts that can take down enemies at short range. The convenience and efficiency of this modification have made me more effective in combat situations, making it an essential addition to my equipment.

JAK Devastators (Reclaimer 18 Shotgun, Week 7 Challenges)

As a gamer, I’m tearing up the battlefield with my pair of modified Reclaimer 18 shotguns! I’ve turned myself into a mobile artillery barrage, dishing out devastation left and right. The accuracy may not be perfect, and the recoil can get a bit wild, but who needs precision when you’re all about maximum destruction?

New Events

Let’s bring out the beast within you! Take on event tasks or gather experience points to unlock exciting, untamed prizes.
