Battlestate Games Has Tripled Escape from Tarkov’s Server Capacity Ahead of 1.0 Release

A common problem for Escape from Tarkov players after updates is long wait times to join servers. The game struggles to handle the surge of players, leading to frustratingly slow queue times and connection issues, especially around major updates or wipes.

Battlestate Games is ready for the full release of Escape from Tarkov today. During a recent broadcast, studio head Nikita Buyanov announced they’ve tripled the server capacity to handle the increased player load.

Tarkov’s Major Networking Issues Eliminated

Escape from Tarkov is entering a major new phase! After nearly eight years in beta, the game is officially launching and will now be available on Steam. This massive update includes a new map, a dynamic campaign that doesn’t follow a strict path, new weapons, and over 1,000 bug fixes.

During the latest Tarkov TV broadcast, Nikita announced a significant investment in the game’s servers. They’ve tripled the server capacity to prepare for the upcoming launch.

So, before everything went live, Nikita jokingly asked us not to break their servers, which was a pretty funny way to put it. Basically, they were hoping we wouldn’t overload them with all of us jumping in at once!

Major updates to Escape from Tarkov consistently cause long server queues and technical problems, which usually lead to players leaving the game out of frustration.

After over ten years in the making, Escape from Tarkov’s 1.0 update is finally here. This major release marks a huge transformation for the hardcore extraction shooter, evolving it significantly over the years.
