Naruto Author Kishimoto Confirms A New Power Greater Than Baryon Mode

The world of Naruto is filled with amazing powers, like the Uchiha’s Sharingan and the incredible strength of the Jinchuriki. We’ve also seen the Rinnegan and the abilities granted by the Six Paths, including Six Paths Sage Mode. However, many fans consider Baryon Mode to be the most powerful of them all. Introduced in Boruto, Baryon Mode is the strongest ability Naruto Uzumaki has ever used. It works by combining Naruto and Kurama’s chakra to create a vastly more powerful energy source, much like nuclear fusion.

Baryon Mode is an incredibly powerful ability, surpassing even Isshiki Otsutsuki, but it isn’t the absolute strongest in the world of Boruto. The creators of the series, Masashi Kishimoto and Mikio Ikemoto, have developed an even more potent power. This power can only be unlocked by using Karma and consuming a sufficient number of Chakra Fruits from the God Tree. Shibai Otsutsuki, considered the strongest being in the entire Naruto universe, achieved godhood through this method.

Kishimoto Has Already Confirmed That The Otsutsuki’s Power To Evolve Is Stronger Than Baryon Mode

Baryon Mode is incredibly strong, as demonstrated during Naruto’s fight with Isshiki Otsutsuki where it gave him a significant advantage. However, it’s not the most powerful ability in the Boruto universe. The Otsutsuki clan possesses a greater potential for power, which increases with the number of chakra fruits they consume. By eating enough fruits and repeatedly using Karma to transfer their consciousness into new bodies, they can overcome the limitations of mortality and achieve godlike status.

The first part of the Boruto series showed this happening, though only Shibai Otsutsuki has managed it so far. Code was tasked by Isshiki with fulfilling the Otsutsuki clan’s goals and becoming a god, but hasn’t succeeded yet. However, if done repeatedly, the Otsutsuki’s power can become significantly stronger than even Baryon Mode – they’re simply on different levels.

Otsutsuki Can Become Gods By Eating Enough Chakra Fruits

Otsutsuki clan members can achieve a god-like state by consuming a sufficient amount of chakra fruit. Once they reach this point, they abandon their physical bodies, as they are no longer needed. This ascension also transports them to another dimension. Currently, only Shibai Otsutsuki has successfully completed this process; all other members of the clan who have attempted it have failed.

Baryon Mode Can’t Hold Up To The Power Of A God

Baryon Mode is undeniably strong, and it’s the most powerful technique available to humans. However, the world of Boruto also includes Gods, and their power far exceeds anything Baryon Mode can offer. While Baryon Mode can drain an opponent’s chakra and greatly increase a user’s strength, a true Otsutsuki God like Shibai possesses abilities that reshape reality on a planetary scale. They can destroy planets, control what happens, automatically deflect attacks, and even see into the past and future. The power of the Otsutsuki Gods is unmatched, making Baryon Mode simply no comparison.
