The ability to save login details across devices, a feature previously unavailable for us Xbox users, will undoubtedly streamline my gaming life, allowing me to focus more on the action and less on entering passwords.
Beginning August 22, Xbox users can look forward to auto-saving their login credentials while using GeForce Now. This means they won’t have to worry about re-entering passwords when moving between devices, ensuring smoother gaming sessions overall. Previously, this feature was only accessible on other platforms; however, soon the Xbox community will be able to enjoy the convenience of GeForce Now’s sync function and simplify their gaming experience.
As a gamer, I was thrilled when Microsoft, before sealing their massive takeover deal with Activision-Blizzard, inked a decade-long agreement with Nvidia. This partnership aims to bring a vast array of Xbox PC games to GeForce Now. With this arrangement, I can stream my Xbox games purchased from the Microsoft Store on PC and enjoy them from anywhere, all thanks to GeForce Now. The deal was strategically made to placate the UK’s Competition and Markets Authority, one of the key challenges Microsoft faced in getting the approval for their acquisition of the makers of Call of Duty.
Following the completion of Microsoft’s partnership with Nvidia, the collaboration between Xbox and GeForce Now is flourishing more than ever. In their recent announcements at Gamescom, Nvidia has confirmed that GeForce Now subscribers will soon be able to connect their Xbox accounts to the streaming service, eliminating the need for repeated logins. This feature, which is already available for platforms like Epic Games and Ubisoft, will begin rolling out to Xbox users starting August 22.
GeForce Now Extends Account-Linking Support to Xbox
By connecting their accounts between Xbox and GeForce Now, players can access some of the top PC games from 2024 without needing to sign in every time they use a new device. Nvidia explains that this sync functionality on Xbox will provide users with a more seamless gaming experience, allowing them to instantly play over 140 Xbox Game Pass titles across various devices.
Although Microsoft appears to be dead set on allowing Xbox fans to play all of their favorite games without even needing a console, the company did recently confirm the release dates for three new Xbox consoles. While players won’t find any major improvements, there are some upgrades to the internal storage size and even a digital-only version of the Series X. But for fans looking to get a new console just for Game Pass, Microsoft has come under fire in recent months after hiking the price of Xbox’s subscription service, with some serious changes set to take effect from September 12.
