Lqgend, a recent champion in Halo esports – winning the 2024 Halo World Championship with Spacestation – is now joining the Call of Duty League. While some CDL players have switched from other games, it’s been a while since a Halo world champion competed at the highest level of Call of Duty esports.
Before Lqgend, Shotzzy, the star player for OpTic Texas, was a major competitor. He’s one of only two esports professionals ever to win world championships in two different games.

With the Call of Duty League moving to Black Ops 7 in 2026 – a game that feels similar to Halo – now is a great time for Lqgend to join the league. He’s already shown he has what it takes, performing well in practice matches and during his streams.
The 22-year-old French Halo player quickly became well-known in the esports scene. Now that competitive Halo Infinite is winding down, he’s looking for his next big opportunity.

The new Surge team was revealed a few hours ago, and it’s made up of mostly young, up-and-coming players who are eager to prove themselves in the Call of Duty League this season.
Vancouver Surge had a very strong season last year, consistently performing well in tournaments. However, they weren’t able to secure a championship win, finishing in second place several times – most notably at the Call of Duty League Championship held in Canada, where they lost to the powerful OpTic Texas team.
