Sucker Punch has revealed details about an upcoming update for Ghost of Yotei, which will include the long-awaited New Game + mode. Like its previous game, Ghost of Yotei is constantly being improved and expanded, with a major update planned for sometime in 2026.

Okay, so Ghost of Yotei has been doing really well since it launched in early October, which is awesome! They’ve mostly just been squashing bugs and polishing things up since then, but it sounds like the team is now starting to work on some new stuff. From what I’m hearing, we won’t have to wait too long for some fresh content and features to drop – which is super exciting! I’m really looking forward to seeing what they add.

Ghost of Yotei Adds New Game Plus and More on November 24

Sucker Punch announced on their blog that a new update is coming to Ghost of Tsushima on November 24th. The update will add a long-awaited New Game Plus mode. Just like in other games with this feature, you’ll need to finish the main story to unlock it. This new mode also includes two new difficulty levels and two more trophies to earn, and you’ll get to keep all the items you’ve already collected.

Starting a new game also comes with rewards! You’ll earn Ghost Flowers, a new currency you can spend at a special shop to unlock over 30 new cosmetic items like dyes and armor sets, plus 10 unique charms to further customize your character in Ghost of Yotei. You can also upgrade your existing armor and weapons to become even more powerful.

Beyond the New Game Plus feature, this update brings several improvements. You’ll now have access to a stats screen and can replay content after finishing the main game. The Photo mode in Ghost of Yotei is also getting an upgrade with new settings like adjustable shutter speed, composition grids, and more filters. Plus, we’re adding more accessibility options, including the ability to customize the directional buttons.

The post concludes with a hint about what’s coming in 2026: the multiplayer mode, Legends, will be added to Ghost of Yotei.
