How Does Where Winds Meet Martial Arts Level Work?

Okay, so in Where Winds Meet, your Martial Arts Level is basically how strong you are overall – it’s a measure of your combat power. If you’re like me and want to max out your character, this guide will break down everything you need to know about how it works. We’ll cover what ‘Gearscore’ is in the game, and most importantly, how to grind it up and become a total powerhouse!

Okay, so WWM is a seriously deep game, and there are a TON of ways to get stronger. I’m going to break down everything you can focus on to build your character – things like your Martial Arts skills, Talents, the Gear you find, special Abilities, Inner Paths, Melodies, and even passive bonuses. Basically, I’ll cover all the ways to level up!

How Does Martial Arts Level Work in Where Winds Meet?

In Where Winds Meet, your character’s power is measured by their Martial Arts Level (MAL). This level is calculated based on several factors, including the quality of your equipment (reflected in its gear score), the Martial Arts you’ve learned and upgraded, and various passive abilities like Inner Path, Mystic Arts, and Melodies Passives. Your MAL is also increased by upgrading your weapons through Enhancement and Tuning, as well as by your character’s overall Stat Gains from things like professions and other bonuses, such as set bonuses.

As your characters gain experience and level up, their Martial Arts Level will increase. You’ll also get a boost to this level whenever you improve your gear, learn new abilities, advance in your chosen Inner Path, or make progress in any of the available Professions.

Just so you know, in Solo Mode, enemies don’t get stronger when you level up your martial arts skills. However, when you reach a new level in Solo Mode or Online Mode, all enemies in the game will become more difficult.

As a player, I’m really excited about how the game handles progression! Whenever you move past a Level Cap Tier, you get a complete set of new gear, which automatically boosts your overall gearscore. It’s the same with improving your Martial Arts or Mystic Arts – it takes a lot of resources, but you get a significant power boost! Specifically, each level breakthrough gives you a +100 or +150 bonus to your MAL, which is awesome.

How to Use The Develop & Quick Enhance Features in Where Winds Meet

Okay, so I stumbled across something super useful in Where Winds Meet that I had to share. There are these features called ‘Develop’ and ‘Quick Enhance’ that aren’t exactly shouted about, but they’re amazing for leveling up your characters. Basically, ‘Develop’ is like a one-stop shop where you can see all the upgrades available – everything except the stuff tied to online and solo modes. But the real kicker is the ‘Quick Enhance’ option inside Develop. Seriously, you can upgrade a ton of your character’s stats with just a few clicks. It’s a huge time saver and lets you max out your characters way faster!

  1. To access this feature, open the Develop Menu by hitting ‘H’
  2. Navigate to the bottom right corner of the screen.
  3. Press ‘Quick Upgrade’ or ‘Quick Enhance’ (Changes depending on the selected language).
  4. The new menu will display every upgradable piece of Gear, Martial Arts, Mystic Arts, or Inner Path passive available for upgrade.
  5. Select ‘Confirm Enhancement,’ and then the game will do the rest.

The game automatically prioritizes upgrading items currently equipped by the player, as long as the necessary materials are available. To upgrade other skills or abilities, you’ll need to select and equip them first through the Develop Menu before you can begin the upgrade process.
