The Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket edition is constantly getting new cards, and Rare Candy stands out as one of the strongest Item cards in the game – possibly of all time. If you’re unfamiliar with this card or haven’t had a chance to use it yet, we’ve put together a complete guide to explain everything you need to know.
As a Pokémon fan, I’ve always thought Rare Candy was amazing! It’s way better than even Gold Nuggets, honestly. Basically, you give it to one of your Pokémon and bam – instant level up! It’s such a huge help when you’re trying to evolve a Pokémon quickly or get them to learn those really powerful moves faster. It’s a total game-changer!
In the Pokémon Trading Card Game app, Pocklet, the Rare Candy card does something unique – it can dramatically change a battle’s outcome in an instant.
What Does Rare Candy Do In Pokémon TCG Pocket?

Okay, so in Pokémon TCG Pocket, Rare Candy is a total game-changer. Basically, if you have a Pokémon that’s still pretty basic, you can use a Rare Candy to skip right over its next evolution and jump straight to its final, super-powerful form. It’s a huge time-saver and lets you build a strong team way faster!
If you want to evolve Pokémon like Snivy into Serperior or Ralts into Gardevoir without using Rare Candy, it will take at least two turns to complete the full evolution.
Rare Candy allows Pokémon to evolve directly into their final forms, skipping the stages in between. For example, you can evolve a Snivy into a Serperior without it becoming Servine first.
How To Get Rare Candy Item Card In Pokémon TCG Pocket
Okay, so I’ve figured out I can get a Rare Candy in the game! It looks like I can snag one by opening either a Celestial Guardians Solgaleo or Lunala pack. I can also craft a card using Pack Points I earn from the Celestial Guardians event, or even trade with other players to get it. Pretty cool!
Trading is pretty straightforward these days. But the other two options are simpler and can be implemented immediately.
Celestial Guardians Packs
You can find a Rare Candy in either the Celestial Guardians Solgaleo or Lunala packs. Getting one relies on chance, so you may need to open several packs before you find it. Just keep trying, and eventually you’ll get lucky!
Pack Points
If you have 70 Pack Points leftover from the Celestial Guardians set, you can use them to instantly craft the card. Remember, you can only include two copies of any single card in your deck. If you want to upgrade a Rare Candy, you’ll need to create more and use Shinedust.
