Players of Pokemon Legends: Z-A will soon be able to get the Mega Stone for Chesnaught during the game’s third Ranked Battle season. Season 3 will also give trainers another opportunity to earn the Greninjite and Delphoxite Mega Stones simply by playing a few Ranked Battles.
A key part of Pokemon Legends: Z-A is the Z-A Battle Club, where up to four trainers can battle each other in a three-minute free-for-all. You can improve your rank from Z to A by winning these battles, but you also earn rewards for completing easier tasks like landing a super-effective move or Mega Evolving your Pokemon. To get more players involved, Pokemon Legends: Z-A updated the Ranked Battle system for Season 2 so that players won’t lose rank points if they finish in third or fourth place.
Pokemon Legends: Z-A Season 3 Ranked Battle Details (November 2025)
Following a fix for a bug in Pokemon Legends: Z-A, The Pokemon Company has announced the rewards for Season 3. The new Ranked Battle season begins on November 27th at 1:00 AM Eastern Time and runs until December 17th at 8:59 PM Eastern Time. Players who reach the Rank S level will receive the Chesnaughtite, which allows their Chesnaught to Mega Evolve and become more powerful. Trainers who didn’t earn the Greninjite and Delphoxite in previous seasons will also have another chance to get them – the Greninjite is available at Rank Y, and the Delphoxite at Rank V. Thanks to changes made to the ranking system in Season 2, players can now earn all three Mega Stones for the Kalos starter Pokemon relatively quickly.

Season 3 of Pokemon Legends: Z-A‘s ranked battles has a rule to keep things fair. To help newer players, teams can’t be filled with only the strongest Pokemon. Players are limited to using only one of the special, particularly powerful Pokemon – Xerneas, Yveltal, Zygarde, or Diancie – on their team.
Season 3 will end around the same time that the Mega Dimension DLC for Pokemon Legends: Z-A becomes available on December 10th. However, Pokemon only found in the DLC won’t be allowed in Ranked Battles for Season 3.
