Prisoner Quest Guide (Chu-Bai Spear Reward) In Black Myth: Wukong

As a seasoned gamer with over a decade of gaming under my belt, I must say that the Prisoner quest in Black Myth: Wukong is one of the most intriguing side quests I’ve ever encountered. The initial barrier and limited conversation piqued my curiosity from the get-go, and I was hooked.

In Black Myth: Wukong, The Prisoner is among the numerous figures who possess a subplot. Initially, you cross paths with him in the Pagoda Realm, which serves both as a prison and a structure. Here, he advises the Chosen One to remain still and avoid stirring up any commotion.

The initial conversation is extremely limited as there is a barrier stopping you from entering his cell in Black Myth: Wukong. The real side quest begins after you find a way to break the gate and talk with the prisoner directly.

Stepping into the mysterious Pagoda Realm, I found myself in a cell. A quick walk revealed another cell with a distinctive purple seal. Engaging with the prisoner there, I listened to his tale before venturing forth to explore the second floor of this enigmatic realm.

Beating this foe is straightforward since it tends to rely on a limited set of actions and doesn’t exhibit much mobility. After Captain Lotus-Vision falls, collect its essences and return to the Prisoner to embark on the actual mission.

After you’ve opened the locked door and engage the Prisoner in conversation directly, he’ll inquire if you could locate the remaining Captains and bring an end to their suffering. Finding the other three Captains will take some time since they are situated in various locations.

Captain Wise-Voice

The Captain Wise-Voice is not an optional encounter, since players need to defeat it to advance the storyline. You’ll come across it after scaling the Pagoda Realm and reaching the Mani Wheel Keeper’s Shrine. Upon entering the boss area, a brief cinematic sequence will play.

To conquer Captain Wisdom-Speaker, the Chosen One should continuously attack it, as the battle continues until the boss collapses, revealing its vulnerable spot. Keep in mind that the Captain has a high health capacity and can launch area-of-effect attacks, so tread carefully. Ensure you collect the Spirit following the fight.

Captain Void-Illusion

In the Blissful Valley, you’ll find the future Captain. To reach there, you must traverse numerous regions, overcome formidable foes that serve as bosses, and ultimately uncover the Sanctum of the Longevity Road Keeper.

After leaving the shrine, head rightwards and sprint by an adversary. Make a right turn again to discover Captain Void-Illusion’s remains. Interact with them to obtain the Spirit.

Captain Kalpa-Wave

Much like Captain Wise-Voice, Captain Kalpa-Wave is another essential foe that must be conquered in order for the Destined One’s voyage to be completed. To encounter this boss, make your way from the Longevity Road Keeper’s Shrine, nestled in the Valley of Bliss. Sprint to the conclusion of the vast arena teeming with petrified adversaries, maintaining the right side as your guide. Ascend the stairs and continue forward to discover Captain Kalpa-Wave. Overcome it and gather its spirit instead.

After gathering all the Spirit Captains, I’d head back to the Prisoner in Lower Pagoda to deliver them. He expresses his gratitude profusely and rewards me with the coveted Chubai Spearhead item, which is essential for crafting weapons and other precious resources.

How To Craft The Chu Bai Spear In Black Myth: Wukong

To purify myself thoroughly inside, it’s necessary for me to make an incision in my abdomen and cleanse my organs, only then would I consider myself worthy enough to encounter the Buddha.

The Chu-Bai Spear is an Epic weapon with a 75 Attack stat. It has the unique effect of buffing Thrust Stance damage as well as the Light Attack Combo. To craft it, you will need:

  • Chubai Spearhead x1: Given by the Prisoner at the end of his quest.
  • Refined Iron Sand x4: Found through opening chests, killing certain enemies, and from the Store.
  • Yaoguai Core x8: Same as Refined Iron Sand.
  • Will x21,000: Obtained through multiple methods like defeating enemies, opening chests, collecting green flames, and destroying pots.
