As a seasoned gamer with years of virtual farming under my belt, let me tell you about my experience with “Fields of Mistria“. The first week in this game can be a whirlwind, but it’s all part of the adventure. After a few days into Spring, I received my first Story Quest – “Repair the Bridge”.
In your initial seven days in the realm of Fields of Mistria, you might find yourself a bit overpowered, but as time passes, you’ll gradually unveil fresh gameplay aspects and missions to acquire novel tools, crafting materials, and Tesserae (currency). Additional quests can be picked up from the notice board near the general store in Mistria. However, don’t forget to check your mailbox regularly as well. Approximately three to four days into your first spring season, you’ll receive your inaugural Fields of Mistria Story Quest titled “Repair the Bridge.” This task is straightforward for novice players and can be completed rather expeditiously.

How to Complete “Repair the Bridge”
On March 3rd, you’ll find a letter from Adeline in your mailbox requesting assistance with fixing the bridge. Head towards the Eastern Road to initiate a cutscene. You can access the Eastern Road by choosing the path to the right when facing the Bathhouse.
You’ll find that the bridge requires 60 pieces of Wood and 60 blocks of Stone. Feel free to drop these off at the nearby donation box when you’re ready. Once all materials have been deposited, be sure to chat with Adeline to finish the quest.
Balor advises collecting resources from your farmland. By cutting down trees and removing rocks, you will soon have 60 of each resource at your disposal. It’s not important where exactly you collect the materials; you can fell trees along the Eastern Road, Sweetwater Farm, or The Narrows if that suits you better.
1. You might want to remove some of the clutter from your property for safety reasons. And, if you gather resources from your land, you’ll be able to head back to the cabin to declutter your supplies when they become too full.
At this stage, you should have an axe for wood cutting, but a pickaxe will be necessary for breaking stones. You can obtain the pickaxe by completing the task “Help Out a Buddy” posted on Spring 2’s notice board. To do so, locate Olric and have a chat with him. If you’re uncertain about his whereabouts, you can check his location using the Map (by pressing M key).
With a high level of energy or vitality, you can collect about half of the required materials in a single day. If your energy levels are running low, you can recharge them by engaging in any of the following activities:
- Grab a bowl of soup at the Sleeping Dragon Inn by inspecting the cauldron. You can only get one free bowl a day.
- Use the Bathhouse. However, it’ll cost you 100 Tesserae, and since this is your first week, you may want to save your money or spend it on seeds instead.
Be sure to call it a night before midnight, as staying up too late might cause you to sleep in. Waking up later can lead to less energy the next day.

To advance the storyline, it’s essential to finish the “Repair the Bridge” mission. Once accomplished, the Saturday Market will become accessible in Mistria. On Saturdays, four merchants will display their wares, including food, drinks, accessories, recipes, and furniture. Although prices might seem steep for a novice player, you should accumulate enough Tesserae by the second week of spring to make your purchases.
As an eager market-goer, I’d recommend getting the Saturday Market fixed well ahead of Spring 6 to ensure its prompt opening. By completing the repair task on Spring 3, you’ll have a generous three-day window to collect necessary resources and submit your quest for completion. Enjoy the vibrant market scenes sooner!
