In Anno 117: Pax Romana, a key part of the game is keeping your citizens happy so you can advance to the next level. For example, before you can turn your Liberti into Plebeians, you need to make sure they have enough food, clothing, and access to public services.
Once you’ve played for a few hours, you’ll unlock Patricians, who are a demanding workforce that require luxury goods. Unlocking them also gives you access to the Amphitheater. Here’s a complete guide on how to build it in Anno 117: Pax Romana.
Amphitheater In Anno 117 Pax Romana
In Anno 117: Pax Romana, you need to reach the highest population level – Patricians in Latium – before you can unlock the Amphitheater.
Afterward, governors must:
- Build the Amphitheater foundation.
- Complete construction phase 2, 3, and 4.
The details of the Amphitheater construction will be explained in the next section.
Once we finally finish building the Amphitheater, we’ll be able to host games in it! And the cool part is, after each game, the whole island gets a boost – like, everyone gets some helpful buffs. It’s a great way to power up!
In Anno 117: Pax Romana, the Amphitheater continues to benefit your whole island with a boost to your population (+3), happiness (+3), and prestige (+7), even when no event is happening. Unlike most buildings, its benefits aren’t limited to a specific area; they apply island-wide.
Different games will need different amounts of resources, and larger games will require more. If governors don’t supply what’s needed, the positive effects won’t last as long.
The items needed for this are chosen randomly, so feel free to restart the preparation process until you have everything you can actually supply.
The rewards players earn from Amphitheater events will improve as the game grows. Larger events will give better bonuses.
How To Build The Amphitheater In Anno 117 Pax Romana
Building the Amphitheater late in the game is a significant undertaking. It starts with laying the groundwork, which requires players to spend:
- 100 Timber
- 60 Concrete
- 75,000 Denarii
Okay, so building the Amphitheater is a big project that happens in three stages. Each stage needs tons of materials, so my strategy is to put warehouses really close to where I’m building. That way, my workers can haul stuff back and forth way faster. The good news is I don’t need to gather everything upfront – materials trickle in as the building progresses, which is a relief!
A better road in Anno 117: Pax Romana can hasten the speed of goods transport.
The second stage of Amphitheater construction focuses on laying the foundation. Here’s what we need to get started:
- 150 Timber
- 300 Concrete
- 150 Rope
- 350 Liberti Workforce
Before you can start building the outer wall, you need to have at least 750 Patricians on your island. Once you do, you’ll need to be able to provide resources for the Amphitheater.
- 150 Concrete
- 300 Tile
- 300 Marble
- 150 Rope
- 200 Plebeian
For the final phase, the arena demands these things:
- 300 Tile
- 300 Marble
- 300 Mosaic
- 300 Concrete
- 60 Gold
- 150 Eques
At least 2250 Patricians must live in the city for the final construction phase to begin.
Once everything is done, the Amphitheater will finally be completed in Anno 117: Pax Romana.
